Trust has to be earned. No reason to trust someone "new" in and of itself, no reason to condemn them either. Time will tell. I would say I mistrust Cookson, but have no hard evidence. Why do I mistrust him? because he is involved in professional cycling, that's why.

even if the tech is a ways off, the fact that the doctor was swamped by athletes inquiries speaks to the ethics (or lack thereof) in athletes themselves. This doesn't paint a pretty picture of honesty in sport.
