It was worth my while to splurge for one month on flobikes so that I could avoid Phil and listen to Anthony McCrossan instead. Does anyone know who will be the main announcer on FloBikes for the Vuelta?
Visma's tactics in this year's tour have been questioned by some and ridiculed by others. But I have maintained that there is nothing they could have done to defeat Pogacar.
I disagree about the GC. Remco and Primoz's times are big surprises. They will be on the back foot in the GC battle. Remco will have to press all the harder in the TT!
I agree. Vingegaard tried something new! Imagine that! Would it have been better just to stay in the bunch until the finish line? After a three-month absence from racing, he wanted to test his legs.
Del Toro might not yet completely understand what happened. But over time he will realize that he was poorly coached at a crucial moment in a grand tour. When his contract is up...
At Catalunya I noticed that UAE rarely rode in support of Ayuso. This helped Roglic to win the GC. History seems to be repeating itself this week as well. It will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow.
When UAE didn't work for Ayuso at either the first or second sprint, I recalled his lack of team support in last year's TDF. It will be interesting to see what happens in the Giro.
Roglic doesn't try to win every stage that he can. He could have, for example, won stage 20 if he wanted. I admire him for this. His goal was to win the GC.
I was a very big doubter about Remco before and during the tour. But, for a Tour rookie especially, he has been very impressive. If he can turn in similar performances at high altitude I might become a fan.
I hope so. I don't see any change for the top two places. Remco was impressive today, but I can't see him duplicating that effort tomorrow. Possible shakeup of places 3-5.
