    Team Ineos Discussion thread

Re: Team Sky Discussion thread There's a good interview on the cycling podcast with some business guy (forgot his name) about the team sky sponsorship. Essentially saying because of the investment the team put into their commercial development they were able to keep providing a better return...

Le Tour 2018 stage 15: Millau - Carcassonne 181,5 km

Re: Glad it's not just me thinking that. On another note has Majka ever taken a turn on the front in his entire career?

    Motor doping thread

Just goes to show how badly people want there to be motor doping to highlight something with an incredibly obvious explanation. What was even more bizzare was Armstrong on his podcast couldn't make sense that someone would lift their bike up when they put the chain on and spin the cranks. He...

Tour de France 2018 stage 8: Dreux > Amiens Métropole 181 km

Re: Tour de France 2018 stage 8: Dreux > Amiens Métropole 18 This type of stage should never be on a weekend. Out of the 8 weekend stages, 4 of them are dead flat sprints? The only two mountain stages that are on the weekends seem to be the worst ones as well. I really don't understand this...

Teams & Riders Chris Froome Discussion Thread.

He gambled a little and got caught behind the split by riding conservatively and then had to try and come across the gap when he realised hence why he finished on his own inbetween the groups. At least that's my take. Obviously though not in the form he was when he was sprinting up Mur du Huy...

    Pre Tour de France-thread

I really like Rowe but I'd have chosen the dutch lad over him. He looked impressive at the Dauphine and then again at the dutch nationals. I guess Rowe has the experience I'm just a little unsure of his form this season since his injury. He's looked OK I suppose.

    Pre Tour de France-thread

Hayman/Durbrige/Hepburn/Bauer and no Ewan. Ok it will ensure a really (really) strong TTT but for the other 20 stages there is going to be some serious overlap in roles. Impey/Nieve are good enough to win stages if the Yates plan bottoms out but that's not the smartest roster I've ever seen.

Teams & Riders Chris Froome Discussion Thread.

I don't get the self suspension argument honestly. From both the perspectives of being innocent and guilty I think you'd carry on racing. Maybe less so for the guilty one since you've actually done something wrong but then those type of people might just not care anyways.

    Disable Ad-Blocking?

Also due to the way the site seems coded anytime I scroll for a brief second if you click afterwards anywhere it takes you to an advert. This is incredibly frustrating as I'm usually trying to click on an article. It's the same on both Chrome and Firefox for me. The website these days just...

Criterium du Dauphine (2.UWT), 3-10 June

Re: Consistency issues make it harder to win but at the end of the day Thomas can climb, TT, cobble, crosswind & TTT with the best. It probably won't come together for him but on the chance that it does I'm not going to be sat here all bamboozled wondering where on earth this came from. Some...

Criterium du Dauphine (2.UWT), 3-10 June

Yes this is probably true. Still has to be a little intimidating though for the other contenders.

    Team Ineos Discussion thread

So is Tao doing the Vuelta? Wonder if there's a chance he'll be considered for the Tour considering just how well he is riding. I find it unlikely though.

Criterium du Dauphine (2.UWT), 3-10 June

Must be demoralizing for other GC riders to be dropped by Sky's 4th best climber.

    Pre Tour de France-thread

Re: Re: It's a tricky one as he's in the unique position of having never podiumed in a GT for a rider of his talents. I don't recall a rider as old and strong as him with as poor GT results almost ever. The allure of the podium will be immense and I can't blame him if he doesn't go full...
