    Nordic Skiing/Biathlon Thread

I saw the race in a gold lounge at Oslo Airport today. Kind of depressing to see that nobody seemed to pay any interest to the big screening TV during the race, until the last minute when finally a big number of mostly men rose. However, all of them disolved to their chairs, toalett, bar... when...

Considering how inconsistent the swedish skis have been this season, the wax team truly nailed it in the championship. Rumours says they had a collaboration with a university research group going into the season, but dropped them before Trondheim and went back to basics.

Agree. And, there might be a few other reasons concerning the dislike of TJ and MJS for the ones who have read a certain thread in the clinic.

I kind of agree. Do you have more info on when and how the rule has changed? However, Hennig breaking Dahlqvist pole in the finish is in my opinion a mitigating circumstance. Anger's DQ is IMHO unfair.

Anger got DQ when taking three skates after he got up after a fall caused by Czerny. Ilar got a DQ after slowing down in the finish and getting passed by team mate Dahlqvist. Ilar knew she would not stand a change in the finish against Dahlqvist. But since Dahlqvist got her pole boken by...

    Doping in XC skiing

Source on that? The explanation I've seen is that she was treated with hormons to initiate puberty. Drugs mentioned was Ethinylestradiol and Primolut.

Öberg ends the season with a win. Nice to see Olsbu Roiseland and Chevalier Bouchet on the podium in their last race. The only downside was the Norwegians flooding the goal area with flags and champagne to celebrate MOR and taking away all the focus from the winner and other skiers.

Very much agree. If the birds in the forest only sang in line with my expectations it wouldn't be: Firstly: a forest Secondly: birds

The celebrated Holmenkollen audience, and a few glimpses from the Swedish skiers. "There was an odeur of booze and marijuana surrounding the track" They were constantly booing and mockering us. But maybe they were shouting Buuurman?"
