    Misunderstanding. I don't mean the front view of the disc, which of course is round, but the side view, that is the sharp edge around the circumference. That could be rounded?

    I don't know whether there is a technical reason, but why are the profiles of the discs rectangular (and razor sharp) and not rounded. That would prevent injuries.
