Pogacar was expected to go for the stage win. Vingegaard tried to take advantage of that. The tactic almost paid off.

He would finish second yet again, which he tried to rely on Pogacar to bring him to the win today and almost worked.

If he attacks he is almost certainly countered by Pogi and could be dropped or lose in a two up sprint.
