Tour de Romandie neither one-day nor monument, 28/04-03/05 2026

Meanwhile, Dorian G. gets to wear the nicest yellow leaders jersey ever: no ugly sponsor logos whatsoever on it.

Tour De France: Unchained aka that netflix thingy

Just watched the first episodes of Movistar "5" (season 2025) on HBO Max. Same style as before and really worth it if you are a pro cycling fan. You get to know Romeo 👍

The one and only biggest superstar of the sport is attending, and they still don't have a main sponsor for the leader's jersey. Something really is wrong with cycling's business model 🤔 😕

They still don't have trackers, or do they ? Pidcock claimed he was lucky to have the radio, otherwise they wouldn't have found him in Catalunya.

    Strade Bianche 2026, March 7, one-day race

Won't work. A harder race will only work in Pogi's favor. It's what happened in Zürich. Belgium & NL burned their teams for no reason and when Pogi went, only Van Baarle was left to help

    Crashes, what can be done?

Would airbags have helped to save Gino Mäder’s and Muriel Furrer's lives? Sadly we will never know. But the "too hot" argument reminds me of the exact same debate for helmets. Remember when riders were allowed to remove their helmets on MTF's? Totally ridiculous and unthinkable today. If...

    Crashes, what can be done?

Yes exactly. The 2024 season would have been very different with airbags. Wout's Dwars injuries would have been also be less severe I guess.

    Crashes, what can be done?

Interesting take from French Eurosport commentators : Crashes happen more frequently nowadays (compared to 20 years ago) because of a more aero position on the bike. Tucked lower and more forward, meaning more weight on the front wheel, leading to a more difficult to handle bike. And narrower...

    Crashes, what can be done?

broken teeth? collarbones? pelvis? thigh? The only workable prototype of a cycling airbag we have seen would have done nothing to help. But anyway, it would at least be a step in the right direction. Better than nothing. But not enough.

    Crashes, what can be done?

Airbags seem to be a good idea, but which one of these injuries would have been prevented if the riders had worn them? And which crashes were caused by reckless riding? The only "dumb/avoidable" crashes I saw were caused by riders trying to put on or remove their raincoats. And the consequences...
