He's gotta be joking. If he wasn't doping in 2011 to save a pretty bland classics campaign I'd be surprised. He salvaged a pretty iffy season with 2 wins in some pretty hilly stages and his rise in form in parallel with EvBH was pretty strange.

I anticipated him returning to the USA but no dice on that. I'm not sure that his career will turn around with MRB-Q but best of luck to him. The paycheck is likely bigger than Jelly-Belly or 5-Hour Energy could muster.

As good as the marketing campaign was for that race TD was such a rock star at, there's a real race in Spain happening. I do wonder how much longer TD's career will go on since he's really only got a couple good weeks a year in him now.

I agree that he's a level above a stage hunter but for whatever reason I feel that was their peak result and will be hard to achieve again. I can't back that up, it's just a feeling. Especially if the bigger budget GC boys don't crash out and they run their boring slow burn tactics on the front...

Doped or not, I just can't see 2nd and 3rd in this year's TDF repeating their success in 2015. I see it as a flash in the pan to be honest. Their teams don't have the depth of talent or budget to support a 100% TDF GC attempt in the same manner that Sky, BMC, etc have. I think they came into the...
