Yes, looking at teams with the best looking expensive pick (Tiberi) right now, their performance is indeed not unimportant. We have 16 teams with Tiberi, but only 8 out of these teams have also Seixas and Laporte combined. Laporte will unfortunatly not ride today..

Would really like to see van der Poel riding this race. Excluding Seixas unpredictability, he would still finish at least second here in my opinion. Seixas is now basically the only dark horse, who could make the race interesting. Don´t see anyone else, who could challenge Pogacar.

I feel a bit sorry for Kooij. He changed the team from Visma to Decathlon to finally be able to ride the tour. It might be the case, that Seixas now progresses so fast, that Decathlon will decide to send next year already a full GC support team for Seixas to the tour, which means, that this year...

What happened to Albert Withen Philipsen in Omloop? A pretty dissapointing result for a guy, where you hope that he will get close to 1000 points during the season...
