    2025 National Championships

It's quite impressive. When Tony Martin won the Worlds TT in Copenhagen 2011, his average speed was 51.8 kmh. The course was a little bit longer though: 46.4 km. But the most impressive fact is that the top 6 of the 2025 Danish nationals all had a faster average speed than Bradley Wiggins - the...

    49th Volta ao Algarve em Bicicleta (2.Pro) // February 15th - 19th 2023

I really enjoyed the TT. The early rain actually provided for some great shots, and the scenery around the steep ramp was amazing. This and the 1st stage was the only ones I saw as I'm on vacation with my family who don't all share my interest in cycling (and races). Here are a few shots from...

    49th Volta ao Algarve em Bicicleta (2.Pro) // February 15th - 19th 2023

I took a few photos approximately 30 km into stage 1. Unfortunately it was quite dark and cloudy - it had been raining the entire night and morning.

Teams & Riders Søren Kragh Andersen AKA "Mr. Andersen"

The Danish national coach gives an explanation here (in Danish): https://sport.tv2.dk/cykling/2022-09-08-landstraener-forklarer-mystisk-soeren-kragh-situation Basically the Canadian races were planned a long time ago and it was always the plan that he should ride them. But he's totally out of...

Tour de France Tour de France 2022: Stage 20 (Lacapelle-Marival – Rocamadour, 40.7k/ITT)

WVA rode the last section 18 seconds faster than Ganna (who was the fastest until Wout).

Tour de France Tour de France 2022: Stage 20 (Lacapelle-Marival – Rocamadour, 40.7k/ITT)

Interesting standings at T1. It's a 40 km TT and the last leg is quite tough (~42 km/h for Ganna on this section). So the entire TT needs to be paced properly.

Tour de France Tour de France 2022: Stage 20 (Lacapelle-Marival – Rocamadour, 40.7k/ITT)

Schachmann was almost as fast as Ganna on the last leg (from T3 to finish) .

Tour de France Tour de France 2022: Stage 20 (Lacapelle-Marival – Rocamadour, 40.7k/ITT)

    Timings from T1 to T2 (as 85 riders have passed T2): 1 Ganna 12'49" 2 Politt 12'52" 3 Cattaneo 12'56" 4 Tratnik 13'01" 5 Bjerg 13'12" 6 Wright 13"12

Tour de France Tour de France 2022: Stage 1 (Copenhagen – Copenhagen, 13.2k/ITT)

I can confirm as stated by others that it's the max weight of a truck through the little bridge leftwards below the bicycle bridge. There's another sign (angled differently, so less visible on the photo) that says 32 t. This is the maximum total weight of a truck with trailer.

Tour de France Tour de France 2022: Stage 1 (Copenhagen – Copenhagen, 13.2k/ITT)

Tony Martin managed 51.8 kmh at the 2011 Copenhagen Worlds TT on a course which took them through some similar parts of the inner city. It wasn't too technical (as evidenced by the average speed) but still had some tricky sections. I remember Cancellara crashing, for instance. The length was...

    Giro d'Italia 2022 Giro d'Italia, Stage 15: Rivarolo Canavese – Cogne 177 km (Sunday, May 22nd)

The profile of these final 13 km seems quite similar to the regular Aprica ascent (which by the way they won't ride on stage 16 as they're riding Mortirolo in opposite direction). Aprica is usually not categorized iirc but it's certainly not easy after a tough day. Basso/Gibo pops up in my memory.
