If Fernando Alonso's team gets off the ground, don't expect it to be ready in 2010. More like 2011.

The route will play a big roll in the results of the 2010 TdF. Normally you'd say more TT miles would hurt the climbers in the overall, AC wasn't hurt at all by the TT. Will there be a TTT to favor the stronger teams? How many mtn top finishes?

I'd say you have to have more uphill finishes since there's little use in placing your final summit 70+K from the finish. But they don't all have to be after a marathon mountain stage. 6 stages in the mountains and 4 uphill finishes. I'm fine with a few shorter mountain stages but they have...

I wouldn't be shocked if it was Garmin but they have a history of guys that can speak English extremely well. And I wouldn't say that AC fits that mold.

Astana's rider contracts are held by JB's Luxembourg-based Olympus SARL. But I wouldn't expect JB to force AC to go with him to Team Radio Shack. JB will let AC out of his contract just like when Heras left USPS.
