Will Chris Boardman be on the French list for taking EPO.

Andy, I'll pm you... I have been warned off so many times by 'people' in the know that it's become a farce...

Will Chris Boardman be on the French list for taking EPO.

Haha! Love it... go through those names and place an asterix next to the suspected ones, ffs.

Will Chris Boardman be on the French list for taking EPO.

Both he and Peter Keen have some questions to answer... how did CB go from a very distant 'also-ran' at Stuttgart in 91 to catching Jens Lehman at the Games the next year? I'll give you one possible answer: EPO. Which was discussed in the soigneur's room at the GB hotel... If you doubt my...

Why are UK riders now more successful?

Very true 'horsin'... I hadn't really thought about that... it seems very much 'My way, or the highway'... and I totally agree with you about the systemic elitism.

Why are UK riders now more successful?

See... this is what happens when you don't pop into the clinic for ages... talk turns to literature! I have some experience of the bad-old-days of the GB National squad, and latterly the difference the Lottery Funding (WCPP) made... not getting into the 'medical enhancement' argument but I...

    LeMond I

Van Mol was my team doctor at ADR too... ergo, are you calling me a doper mate? Not advised...

    Cleanest Rider/Team Of The 90s- Early/Mid 00s

To the extent of my knowledge there were quite a few clean pros circa 89-91... but many/most were not 'known names/big hitters'... this was obviously prior to the UCI 'No-Needle' policy and back then it wasn't frowned upon to 'prepare' oneself with legal products, vitamins, supplements etc...

Time Pedals ad -- the (commercial) narrative has truly changed

Re: Greg using unbranded Time shoes... ADR were sponsored by Axo shoes in 89, and they were crap. I had it written into my contract that I used Time pedals and shoes, and if memory serves me so did Greg. No idea why he took the Time logo off...

    JV talks, sort of

Sweet, thanks. In hindsight I thought it might have provoked a response, but obv, not so. Carry on.;)

    JV talks, sort of

Hmmmm... Still waiting for our illustrious friend to post a reply to my post... obviously ex-pro riders hit too near the knuckle...(?) JV... over to you...

    JV talks, sort of

Indeed you were fortunate... but many races were won with EPO earlier than that, and the temptation and, if I'm honest, the pressure was huge. I lost a contract for 92 that I could have secured had I 'dabbled'... I don't think any less of you for deviating JV, but it's important to state that...

    Vayer unchained

Well... one thing he's totally wrong about is this quote: “It’s good to say you train harder with more technology but I could say the same about Festina, too. I was the first trainer in 1994 to put home trainers out before the time trials because no one was ever warming up. We were copied for...

A question about doping in the UK

Can't comment first hand on 1997 times but we did lower the GB TP record to 4:05 something at the 98 Bordeaux Worlds... improved training regimes, better equipment, and a good combination of riders were key. By 2000 we were consistently riding times around the 4:00 mark. Just saying...

    Minsk World Championships

minsk worlds It's not the Indiv Pursuit but the 3000m team is now becoming a 4000m team pursuit with I believe four riders. What sort of times will be done 4.20mark?
