He only is good at TDU and he had a really bad crash in summer. The last time I saw him one week ago at a race he also was laying in the ground in the last 5km....
He said he wanted to be good again at the italian races. I don't think he did do anything specific for the canada races. He could have been better though. He was dropped with 40 - 50 guys remaining at the Montreal race. Perhaps he is going to altitude now.

With the developing conflict between the UCI and the spanish goverment it doesn't look really good for the TDF grand depart and the vuelta.
Changing the course so often during the race is even worse then cancelling the race. Of course its nice to still have a race but in my opinion this race is a course lottery and some riders win and some riders loose.
