You could say it's the first time he drop Jonas (or almost) on this kind of climb in the Tour. One has been improving his strength and explosiveness all year; I don't think the other has done much since the Classics.

I've only seen this from Remco recently, last year. Jonas, in 2022/2023, was already in great form in June before the Tour, and was by far the strongest (excluding Tadej).

This is completely biased by the last TT, but it's normal for it to be ahead. It would be more accurate if it were the third week and the route included climbs, at least with the pre-2024 Pogi.

This is not true. The initial attack put 5-8s on Jonas, the the time gap increased slowly til 33s under the flamme rouge.

And maybe racing is important towards classics while stage races are raced more like they do in training camp.
