2005. He made the comment after Klödi attacked at Col de La Schlucht and got beat by a millimeter by Weening. The year before Lance wanted to say *** you to everyone and beat him by an inch in the last mountain stage. Still bugs me to this day 😢
For me it definitely was his style on the bike (which the Norwegian commentators always pointed out was beautiful). Adding to the style in 2004 was his clean German National Champ jersey, just a fantastic look!
About his personality, it was always shrouded in mystery. From the outside he looked...
So how does the Froome and Sky haters respond to the cleanest man alive LeMond believing in and defending Froome? Seems kind off odd to me...
Keep in mind that I am VERY sceptical of Froome and Sky.
Klödi looked good today, but he always does that on these type of stages early in the tour.
But, when the first big mountain comes, i fully expect Klödi to start of in the first 10 riders, and then blow completely and be in the red zone by Kilometer 2 of the climb. That`s sadly how the last few...
He was also really horrible on stage 3. I do not know what he's doing anymore. Seems like he's completely lost all sense of what his limits are. On the really steep pitch on the last climb he's in front just behind Hesjedal who's really driving it. Next we lose the picture a bit, and the riders...
Fairly satisfied with this result, think this is the best peformance we can ask of Klöden on this type of climb. Hopefully the next two stages suits him a little better, and he can atleast get a top 10 ;)
Can somebody answer a simple question? We know some of Lance's Hemoglobin values from 2009 and 2010 right? How are they compared to the Norwegian skiers from the 90's?
Bit suprised by Klödi today, a good showing. Maybe he is gunning for a decent result in Nice or Tirreno? I think these one week stage races should be the priority now.
So, today was the end of Klödi's chances of doing a good Grand Tour GC.
We kind of knew it, that he didn't have it in the mountains anymore, but I did think he would manage to do a kind of Menchov type ride, but he imploded almost immediately.
A sad moment for me personally as a big Klöden...
