Just add 20km in the valley and you'll have a decent and long ITT with hilly finale. It would improve both the stage and the route.

There is not much to comment when you see 22km of ITT... I don't like the design of mountain stages because final climbs are isolated almost all mountain stages (Marie Blanque, Cambasque, Puy de Dome, Grand Colombier, Joux-Plane, Le Bettex, Loze). The only proper combo is in Vosges (Stage 20)...

+ There are things I like - Granon, double ascent to Galibier, classical Alpe d'Huez triology, Hautacam stage with Spandelles. Different ascent to Peyragudes is interesting too. This Tour has 3 legit Queen stages. I also don't understand criticism about PDBF and Mende - they always provide...

I gave it 7 because it is balanced route for the first time in recent years. Lack of ITT kilometres has been an astonishing pattern in recent years. The biggest downside of TDF 2021 is that stage sequence is often wrong (LGB before Tignes, medium mountains before high mountains etc.).

I like this route because it is well balanced for the first time since 2016. 58km of ITT is OK. I like that it has three 200km+ stages and one at 199km. First week is decent, because it only has three stages for sprinters. I like first two stages in Brittany, ITT and Le Creusot. Given the stage...

Sounds horrible if true. It will destroy balance between time trials and mountains. Envalira is 11km at 6% followed by 30 km descent. It would be pointless to turn on TV for this stage. Saint-Gaudens which comes next is as horrible as previous stage. I really hate when they have some many stages...

Excellent route. I like that final week is though and there are a lot of challenging medium and high mountain stages in first two weeks. Amount of ITT is decent. I also love that ITT of stage 14 is put before a stage with MTF. I would give 10 to this route. This is perfect example how a GT...

32km are too much nowadays. Since 2010 they have not had an action on HC climb 30km+ before finish (stage to Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne stage with Madelaine).

I have seen that some posters have expectations for the Glieres stage. I would be skeptical about this stage because Glieres is 32km from finish which is too far to encourage attacks. Possibly riders will keep in mind that ITT is expected in two days.

It is very likely to happen: Orcières-Merlette and Puy Mary is perfect for wheel sucking as their hardest sections are 2-5km before finish. I am very cautious about Pyrenees because stages with decent have not been very good recently; Loudenville stage might give action, however, Marie-Blanque...

Just one stage is 200km+. The good thing is that there are no 65km mountain stages.

Would like to see that guys like Dumoulin, Roglic etc. screw ASO and did Giro-Vuelta doubles instead of TDF. 50-60km of flat-rolling ITT would be fine for TDF 2020.
