Teams & Riders Chris Froome Discussion Thread.

Honestly I have not noticed. I am not based in the UK. But in his great years there was a big spillover to the media sites I follow for cycling. In the last 3-4 years I see very little compared to someone of his achievements. But good to know he still is a big thing in the UK 🥳

Sure Pidcock and Thomas are good and deserve attention. But they dont hold a candle to Froome results wise.

Teams & Riders Chris Froome Discussion Thread.

What I think is unusual is how the media almost completely ignores him since he returned from his injury and not competetive anymore there is almost zero attention to the multi-GT and TDF winner. Even the British media is keeping him at arms length (please correct me if wrong) brits?

Teams & Riders Team Visma - Lease a Bike

WVA seems to have had his peak. And some say used it to help the team. Looking at the other monsters competing for the monuments they need some luck to bag one next year. That said, it seems evident by now that the core of the GT team is so strong that maybe he will be allowed to super peak for...

Teams & Riders The Remco Evenepoel is the next Eddy Merckx thread

I hope Remco will show up at the the next 2-3 years of the TDF so we will know for sure if it is his "thing". He can have a glorious career with a win sheet like Valverde but all people talk about is the TDF. I think the team (not QS but family, fans etc) around him have made it so. But I do...

    Velo d’Or 2023

MVDP got the most important wins out of his natural ability he could get. One could argue Taadej overreached a bit and got fewer important wins but still managed to shine and somewhat dominate in more races. MVDP to be a clear winner should have bagged 1-2 TDF stages imo. Sure he used his...

    Velo d’Or 2023

One miss out of 4 (huge events) is still basically winning everything. However You are of course correct and I think my post also alluded to the conclusion You seem to have reached; that Pogi deserves this one.

    Velo d’Or 2023

Interesting debate. What requires the most talent, skill, and determination. Peaking for 3-5 days as MVDP throughout an entire year. But basically having 100% success rate in races where kitchen sinks are thrown around like candy. Or like Tadej, peaking for 2-3 days throughout the year plus...

World Championships 2023: Men's Road Race (August 6)

Entertaining race. Chapeau to MVP!! The Danes can't be happy. Really poor tactics. Well done Bettiol, only went 20-30 k to early but I guess he would not be able to go later. .. Belgium all over the place, but their strongest guy was to defensive.

Lol what a troll first post. All in with Danish Handle haha. The troll sophistication level has really dropped on these boards. Disappointing.

Teams & Riders The Remco Evenepoel is the next Eddy Merckx thread

Cant wait for Vuelta to come. So many scores to settle in here it seems 😅 On a serious note. I look forward to see if he is fully developed or has room for improvement as well as what he can do about his solid frame in coming GT's. Maybe he can do a Indurain/Armstrong string, but I guess that...

    Motor doping thread

Sure Varjas is the S. Greer of Cycling. Yet with all my years following cycling I've never seen acceleration performed like Froome. Maybe his style was just like that. But when You compare to the older footage of Cancellara it rings a bell. I am hesitant to make conclusions solely judging the...

Very few people win their first. He should just go sooner rather than later. Pressure will build more the longer they wait.
