Visma doing their best UAE at the Giro impression with 3 in the top ten and 4 in the top 15 and none in the top one.

It does that every day. They are getting more and more aggressive with the ads maybe they'll be able to move up from the Commodore 64 that they are currently running on soon.

According to your stats if Eddy raced the tour this year he'd win easily.

The kind of peak power spikes that would enable a 170 pound guy to answer all of Del Toro's accelerations in the gravel stage? Wout for all his cyclocross peak power is really best at the more steady state efforts (time trials, heavy mud cyclocross and long climbs within the context of being 170...

    Isaac Del Toro thread

From Del Toro's point of view though if a guy unleashes a half dozen blinding attacks and then when I've gone all in to contain them says "okay let's work together" I gotta say I'm skeptical at best.

Barely! More important is the mental component, as long as you're not dropped you're still alive. Also for the attacker once you see that the other guy is still with you there is a tendency to knock off the pace to a more sustainable level. Beyond that both Carapaz and Del Toro are punchy...

Also the 2 picture perfect leadouts for Kooij, not counting whatever it was the time he opened up a gap and then swung off and sat up and Kooij got boxed along the barriers. That one was just practice!

    Richard Carapaz discussion thread

Hard to let yourself get dropped when the other guy is prepared to park it up right beside you. Maybe he should have fallen off at the top of Sestriere and given Del Toro a 30- 45 second gap until half way up the last climb. See if Del Toro chases Yates when he's on his own.

It's a 9. Mads! Wout! Redemption for Bora when Roglic has to go home. Visma resurgent over UAE with 3 stage wins and the overall! Gee! Del Toro (for the most part). Entertainment wise Carapaz and Del Toro was a soap opera. And Carapaz's ill conceived attacks. Come on you guys this had it all!

If working for a team leader is not that important why do teams waste all that money on bringing 7 riders in addition to the leader to races?

    Isaac Del Toro thread

Carapaz point black said he wouldn't ride because Del Toro wouldn't close the last 20 sec. to Yates, but they got that close to Yates due to a Carapaz attack which Del Toro had to respond to. Who knows if Del Toro even could have closed the last bit? If he did and Carapaz could have mustered...
