Teams & Riders Tadej Pogačar discussion thread

From the start of this short clip my monitor shows a QS rider jump hard from the middle of the road to the right side he is the first to react, he is followed by the Bora rider who was just in front of UNO-X rider also Jorgenson starts to react as well. THJ follows Bora (Lipowitz?) who is going...

Completely! Every other rider swept from left to right.

Not the Uno-X rider's fault. Every rider in that group went from the left side of the road to the right side in reaction to Vauquelin's attack except for Pogacar who was thinking about what he was going to have for dinner or looking at someone in the crowd or something.

If it was a bad day would he have made his little attack? Also what was up with Pogi and Vingo grabbing Lennie's wheel when he came back by them when they slowed up? I think they both wanted to keep a few seconds on the rest and they were both spent enough that they didn't want to have to...

It's Vingo's job to look at Pogi, like a hawk. I think Visma's long game is to provoke enough reactions out of Pogi that he shows weakness at some point. Then and only then does Vingo attack, picking away seconds here and there is not Vingo's thing he's waiting for the one big play.

Tour de France Tour de France 2025 Stage 9: Chinon – Châteauroux (174.1k)

Cycling News Forum says two boring sprint stages on the second weekend, how boring! Wout says I guess I'll try my sprint legs on Saturday. Mathieu, "hold my beer".

I feel like if it was 21 straight stages of MT finishes and a few of them were not that hard/not raced flat out people on here would complain about that.

Are you suggesting that the UCI is never guilty of selectively enforcing the rules?

It's not against the rules (except apparently for Rou's "unwritten rule") to ride faster on the front than others would prefer. Technically it is against a (written) rule to take your hands off your handlebar and put them on another rider.

Just as Jorgensen and Vingo started to drop back under the 5K banner Wout appeared at the bottom of the screen in the overhead shots. At first it looked kind of speculative, like let me just see if there's anything here for me. With about 1 1/2 K to go you could tell he was committed and right...

    Tour de France Stage 6: Bayeux – Vire-Normandie (201.5k)

Not really any dumber than Rou's original "unwritten rule" so on that basis alone it is apt. The Judges will allow it!

He kinda seemed like he was running on fumes by the end today.
