Re: Re:
Imo, the Valverde/Contador/Nibali palmares comparisons don't really make sense since they are different riders with different strengths.
At the end of the day, it'll come down to completely subjective evaluations of the value of their respective victories, ie. is a LBL victory...
Oh man, what a ride it has been the last three weeks. Exciting and emotional.
Everything I have to say about Contador, has already been said ITT, so many good posts.
I first heard about him during the Paris-Nice of 2007 and his reputation as an aggressive rider made me keep an eye on him during...
Meh, in the grand scheme of things does it really matter? I mean, being 5 minutes back in 9th place or 7 minutes back in 11th place, I don't think Contador really cares. It should make it a bit easier to go for a stage, and today for Trek it made more sense to let Degenkolb try and win the...

Re:
Yeah, when I saw him always being near the front before Arenberg, I thought he was gonna do something big today and the move with Oss, Bodnar and Stuyven seemed really promising.
But his punctures happened at the absolute worst times.
And in the end I think he simply gave up.
He did...
Jeez, how does that old fart keep getting better? Very impressive.
I've never been a fan of Valverde but doing the 3 GT's last year, I must admit I am starting to warm up to him a bit.
And hats off to him for not doing the boring old "follow-wheels-and-sprint-for-the-win"-tactic.
