No more hiding, no more watching, it has to explode tomorrow

The Endgame: Showdown in the Alps

Whoever is in yellow obviously has an immediate boost for the TT. I think Leopard can't go with Fraenk because on some TTs he can lose a shedload more then 2:00, but I don't think they themselves know what's happening and are maybe leaving it until tomorrow to choose. I wouldn't be surprised to...

    2011 Tour de France Stage 18 - Pinerolo - Galibier Serre-Chevalier 200.5km

If things blow on the Izoard (which I feel they may due to Basso) then I think we could be left with Contador, Andy and Fraenk together like 09 and Colombiere/Romme. But with the finish uphill, those 3 split again. Tbh, what the heck, I'd like Andy to win, and I'm completely biased, but I just...

    2011 Tour de France Stage 16 (18/7/2011): Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux - Gap, 162.5km

Andy saying he came out of the pedal Still confident he can win, but says the course is bad because it's not racing in the mountains, more gaining time downhill.

    2011 Tour de France Stage 16 (18/7/2011): Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux - Gap, 162.5km

After tomorrow it could be over for the Schlecks, but it's really not a Schleck climb! Andy is such a terrible descender, but I wouldn't put it past him to go crazy on everyone except Bert's Burgers on Thursday and Friday. Although I am by no means a Contador fan, the most important thing to me...

    discussion!!! contador

Unfortunately I was only six back then, my love spawned from highlight reels! I really don't know what to expect, maybe he'll just stagnate and let Evans wheelsuck to the top step (not that he should do anything differently)

Contador? I'm confused as to why so many people are confident that Contador will gain form in the Alps. Yes for Andy, as his peak for the year is now, whereas the effects of a Giro will really take their toll in the 3rd week of a second Grand Tour surely?

Each to their own, I myself watch Eurosport, but on a boring flat day he is a source of some amusement!

    TDF Stage 14: Saint-Gaudens - Plateau de Beille 168km

Thanks man, must be the Sky fans love of Wiggins getting to my head, and making me say I only look one day ahead on the route map. He can switch the diesel on in the Alps, and my podium prediction of Schleck the younger, Frank and Ivan can come true!

At the end of the stage today, Phil got a bit excited about the Rainbow jersey, as Thor rose up to celebrate, Phil exclaimed 'Both arms in the world.' It's a tough job, but he really is a poor commentator and that's a reason why we love him I suppose!

    TDF Stage 14: Saint-Gaudens - Plateau de Beille 168km

It'd be nice to see some longer 20k + climbs this year, Madeleine etc, as then we'd see a genuine chance for Basso to win I feel. As it is, if the race explodes on a Mountain top finish this tour, he'll lose time for sure (not huge chunks, but enough)

    TDF Stage 14: Saint-Gaudens - Plateau de Beille 168km

Sorry what? I'm 19 and he isn't the greatest rider of my generation, not by a long shot, also not the greatest climber!

    2011 Tour de France, Stage 12: Cugnaux - Luz-Ardiden, 209 km

I think Leopard gave away their tactics when Voeckler attacked (well, sort of!) in yellow the other day. They chased down him and Martin, which to me says they plan to gun it tomorrow and take yellow. Not sure if that's the greatest plan, but why else would they do it?!
