I Hate to do this but Brad Wiggins

Right now it’s because he’s promoting a book. Daft things to say though (eg see the Domestique clip): I wasn’t aware Sky had put Brad under any bus, quite the contrary, keeping him out from under it whilst binning (more or less) Freeman. I had the misfortune to read the Times article...

Sky/Ineos Head Carer of 14 years discovered as member of Aderlass doping ring (Megathread)

Since SDB got into the Ratcliffe tent on the basis that he’s a sporting mastermind (whether with a straight face, or a nod and a wink) you can safely assume he will be tasked with shutting down ‘noise’ like this. For everyone’s sake. They will all have a wary eye on Brad, though.

Giro d'Italia Il Giro d'Italia 2025: Who will win? Pre-race poll.

View: https://imgur.com/a/qxulekf Congrats to each of you. LOL literally the first time I can recall playing a prediction game in over 12 years on this forum

Tour de Hongrie 2024-05-08 to 2024-05-12 ; 8th of May to 12th of May 2024

Wouldn’t it have been better ridden the other way around? Pecs-Siofok (Presumably palacsinta flat) first?

    CMS Doping in sport revelations/discussion

Well, we all look forward to SBW telling us what Freeman (and Shane, and everyone else at Sky …) did to help him win the Tour.

    CMS Doping in sport revelations/discussion

Freeman has probably played his part of dragging this out for so long that SDB can distance himself far enough from cycling and the wider media generally lose interest. Useful fall guy.

His old career? Which doesn’t involve sport or being a GP? Is he a heart surgeon?

    Jonas Vingegaard: Something is Rotten

Race would have pointed out that Vingo had a special personalised tailwind throughout,

    Jonas Vingegaard: Something is Rotten

Vingo has to try harder. A classic Froome win would have crashed the forum. That’s the ultimate benchmark.

Far better for history to leave Cav/ Merckx poised equal at 34. Like trying to separate, say, the winner of a hot dog eating contest from one involving chicken wings. (My original analogy was Cav as hot dogs vs Eddy as a contest to eat as far as possible through a degustation menu). OFC...

    Tour de France Tour de France 2023, stage 2: Vitoria-Gasteiz - Donostia/San Sebastián, 208.9k

Well, we know from football that the Dutch are good at fighting each other, but I’d say UAE’s greatest achievement over these two stages is to get JV well and truly rattled - over nothing much.

Tour de France Tour de France 2022: Stage 18 (Lourdes – Hautacam, 143.2k)

So was last year! if you counted ‘TV minutes’ Wout would have some monstrous proportion of the total for the entire TdF. He’s been in the story almost all day, every day. sponsors should be melting with gratitude.

Lefevere being a tease … What could be better for his sponsors than a Cav victory salute which makes the front page of every newspaper in Europe (if not more) Cav certainly had some form at the Giro. Jacobsen may well be the better/ stronger rider but QS, especially without Alaphilippe, don’t...
