Teams & Riders Cian Uijtdebroeks - From the wetlands to the top of cycling

So, is it known what exactly his physical issue was? I'm very curious what could cause a sudden drop in performance consistently at such a young age, and apparently also remained so mysterious for so long.

Teams & Riders Official Wout Van Aert thread

He now won a stage in 3 consecutive GTs (Vuelta 2024, Giro & Tour 2025). I guess that makes him part of a pretty select club.

Teams & Riders Tadej Pogačar discussion thread

He's a proper racer, treating the sport with great respect by have a go at basically every race there is. A big thank you, Tadej.

Tour de France Tour de France 2025 Stage 21: Mantes-la-Ville – Paris (132.3k)

How salty can you be. Pogacar raced full, Van Aert raced full. There was no Gerrans here.

Tour de France Tour de France 2025 Stage 20: Nantua-Pontarlier (184.2k)

Jegat deserves his top-10. He went in breaks consistently and did his share of the work. I also like it that today, he let all the shouting from some of the riders in the breakaway slide right off him. Why wouldn't he have the right to be there? Jayco of course very underwhelming. Only one...

Teams & Riders Jonas Vingegaard thread: Love in Iberia

If everybody raced like that, cycling would be long dead. There were possibilities both yesterday and the day before to at least try and put a dent in Pogacar's invincibility armor. Yesterday was too late for GC, but Vingegaard could've gone out fighting. Now, he looked terrible for most...

Teams & Riders Jonas Vingegaard thread: Love in Iberia

Perhaps there's a bathroom renovation coming up, so Jonas had better be prepared for that!

Vingegaard vs Pogačar - The Duel

What do you mean 'of course'? Had UAE sent someone up the road, or if UAE had Almeida, Pogacar would not have been alone. He was, though, but Visma failed to really test him. There was a 20 km valley where being along would really have been a problem, but they rode up Madeleine the last 5 km...

Vingegaard vs Pogačar - The Duel

Nonsense. Adam Yates is largely a no show in this Tour, and Sivakov hasn't been of any help. With Almeida out, UAE depends on famous mountain goat Nils Politt, Wellens and Narvaez. Those guys are riding at a very high level, but this is very far from being the strongest UAE team in the Tour...

Teams & Riders Jonas Vingegaard thread: Love in Iberia

The team was constantly blabbing about Jonas' biggest strength being his relative freshness in the 3rd week of a GC, they manage to isolate Pogacar twice from any teammates in the past two days to go man-to-man, but then basically nothing ensues - then I cannot comprehend how that would not be...

Florian Lipowitz is the new German GC hope discussion thread

His posture is really different from all other GC riders here. Bigger, broader. A grinder more than a flyer. He seems to be able to go *very* deep into the red though. Very tenacious, and seemingly great recovery.

Teams & Riders Jonas Vingegaard thread: Love in Iberia

When you're paid a very high salary to basically focus on only 1 race - this one - then I think it's extremely disappointing that this is all we viewers got. He is supposed to fade less than Pogacar in a 3-week race, and that may be true, but he didn't really use this. He didn't really test how...

Tour de France Tour de France 2025 Stage 19: Albertville-La Plagne (93.1k) ‚Historic day, magnificent racing‘ ~ Rob Hatch, probably

But, but, Red Rick understands game theory. Game theory, commander! Such awesome knowledge - how can we ever win the argument now?

Tour de France Tour de France 2025 Stage 19: Albertville-La Plagne (93.1k) ‚Historic day, magnificent racing‘ ~ Rob Hatch, probably

Yes, yes, that must be it. It couldn't possibly be that some cycling fans actually wanted to see some proper racing on the final mountain. And Vingegaard to walk the talk.
