Amstel Gold Race 2026, April 19

You make an inane comment about motorbikes 1 m behind riders to make a point, while the distance is always (much) bigger. The fact that there are vehicles behind riders now and then is negligible, especially compared to other factors affecting air resistance. Of these other factors, motorcycles...

Amstel Gold Race 2026, April 19

The guy won 74 times, among which monuments, world titles, olympic races and GT stages. What was he supposed to say?

Amstel Gold Race 2026, April 19

At 1 m, the advantage, as you pointed out, is a reduction in air resistance of 1.8%. Motorcycles are never 1 m behind riders, and as the relationship is exponential, the reduced drag from having cars or motorcycles behind you in a race is actually negligible. You suggest you take a scientific...

Sure, Wooster. Now, do you think that motorcycles are 1 m behind the riders?

Teams & Riders The "MVP" Mathieu Van der Poel Road Discussion Thread

I don't think he is competitive in LBL even without Pogacar. Evenepoel, Seixas, Healy, Ciccone - he cannot follow those on the longer climbs. You'd have to have extremely passive riders for him to have a chance of a podium, but the current crop of riders isn't like that.

Teams & Riders Official Wout Van Aert thread

Why were so many people so happy yesterday with his win? Italian commentators with tears in their eyes, English ones celebrating like they'd won themselves, supporters of a Belgian top league football club erupting in celebrations seeing his victory on a big screen right after they lost their...

Teams & Riders Official Wout Van Aert thread

This is a very correct observation. Van Aert was extremely composed yesterday. Zen. Didn't do rash things, did basically everything right and had luck by his side for once. Despite two flats, their timing was 'good'. The first was early enough, the second happened a few kms after his team car...

    Paris-Roubaix 2026, one day monument, April 12

140 riders to finish within the time limit. Must've been a soft edition then, ridden at leisurely pace.

Ronde van Vlaanderen 2026, monument, April 5 (men's)

There have been many incidents with people still wanting to cross after the lights and/or barriers were active, so it's incredibly bad optics if people see professional cyclists do exactly that what many advertisements campaigns have warned not to do.

Ronde van Vlaanderen 2026, monument, April 5 (men's)

With this wind, I assume the first hours (straight into a headwind) will be quite slow. The breakaway will consist of major masochists only.

Dwars door Vlaanderen 2026, April 1

Van Aert was holding the entire field behind him for 10 kms, and Ganna had more than a little help from Vermeersch. It was an impressive effort, but concluding that Ganna was the strongest - no, I don't agree. Van Aert made much of the race.

Dwars door Vlaanderen 2026, April 1

The strongest rider apparently needed a sticky bottle, had two and not three bike changes, and let's forget that Van Aert rode 15 km alone in the front and another 25 km as the leading force in the front group, but otherwise you're right, yes.

Without Ganna, they would've stayed ahead. Mighty work there, for who exactly?

    Tirreno-Adriatico 2026 March 9-15

If you know another person is there for the stage win, make him ride for it. Moreover, MVDP is a rider that contributes. Del Toro rolled out the red carpet, even though he was probably the one with the strongest legs. No, that wasn't smart riding.

Del Toro doesn't seem like the sharpest tool in the shed.
