    Liège - Bastogne - Liège 2026, one-day monument, 26th April

1999 is my favourite that I can remember watching (for context i started watching crica 1995/1996). 1980 probably the most iconic

    Liège - Bastogne - Liège 2026, one-day monument, 26th April

A Remco win is surely more likely than a Seixas win. Remco’s won the race twice and excels in long races. The most likely scenario is obviously another Pogaçar win. However I do think there is a higher likelihood than the past two editions of one or both Remco or Seixas hanging on longer and...

Teams & Riders The Remco Evenepoel is the next Eddy Merckx thread

Remco can win Fleche but suspect he’d have to do it the unorthodox way by attacking from further out or dragging a small group to the final Muur. Not convinced he’d win a final shootout up the Muur if it was a big group. It’s not as hard a race generally unlike amstel or the monuments so you...

Good win- as expected really so difficult to judge as against prospects for next week. Much better base and build up than last year but whether that translates into being able to challenge Pog seriously at LBL who knows. Will clearly be much more of a protagonist than last year though so i am...

Be intrigued to see the Ardennes and how they shape up. Sexias and Remco can be allies to make things more difficult for Pog if they can hang on La Redout, easier said than done. Although one will always favour Pog until someone can actually dethrone him in LBL or GdL. It is more likely to...

Surely as a GT winner, monument winner, road world champion he’s as deserving of a spot in the list as Wout, and that excludes the TT results (which i would not exclude)

    Paris-Roubaix 2026, one day monument, April 12

However Pog rode in the finale he was not beating Wout in this sprint. He was spent having been the aggressor and riding to try and drop Wout and Wout is an immeasurably better sprinter than Pog in normal conditions

Las year he was cramping with 75km to go. This year he had a flat and had to spend bullets even earlier. I guess it’s about perception. Wout is clearly stronger than last year so i would not read as much into it that he was able to stay with Pog. Wout and MvP are made for this. I am glad Wout...

That’s what you’ve taken from a runner up finish in Paris- Roubaix and dominant wins at Strade and Ronde 😮

He has ridden it twice and finished 2nd twice, an excellent record if you ask me. He obviously needs luck but so does everyone. He got some today with MvP issue in Arenberg but also had the issues himself before then.

Agreed - crazy really. The smart money is on the former tour podium placer and gt winner. I mean it could happen, as he has shown a great ceiling so far this year, but until it does happen, I am taking Remco or Lipo as more likely podium contenders.

Agreed but something like that is not unlikely scenario in Roubaix, you just have to be lucky to avoid the impact yourself.

Who knows he looked a step ahead at Strade on the hills granted they were sterrato. However he did manage to distance Sexias who hung tough for a time. Given the form shown this year Sexias and Remco are likely to be the biggest threats at Liege.
