Is it really that strange? Jorgenson shows improvement every year and this is only his second season with JV

    79th Dwars door Vlaanderen - A travers la Flandre ME (1.UWT) April 2nd 2025

Obviously it was a mistake but I have to commend Wout for completely owning it. He said he wanted to win and was afraid he'd find himself in a situation where he couldn't go for the victory, presumably because it could have been Benoot or Jorgenson up ahead and he'd have to just sit on Powless'...

It was probably the other way around. Didn't he say it was his call? Wout probably told the car he wanted to go for the sprint and they then told Matteo and Tiesj that was the plan.

It wasn't even like Powless came off of Wout's wheel in the sprint. It was a straight head-to-head and it wasn't even close.

Tour de France Femmes 2024 (August 12th-18th)

Yes, her team could and should have done a better job but none of that would have even mattered if showed any sense of urgency at all, which she certainly recognized.

Tour de France Femmes 2024 (August 12th-18th)

Sure about Wiebes but it was 4 seconds so there are several places the race could have been lost and not getting on the bike quicker was one that was actually under her control rather than someone else's. She even mentioned it herself. “If I would jump on the bike a little bit earlier [after...

I think they said coming in to the Tour she had a total of 12 race days ever under her belt.

Tour de France Femmes 2024 (August 12th-18th)

I still think the La Course 2018 Van der Breggen v Van Vleuten was better but that was one of the most dramatic races I've ever seen, men or women.

Tour de France Femmes 2024 (August 12th-18th)

What a fantastic race. Top 3 separated by 10'. I gave Kasia NO shot after getting dropped on Glandon. Even with her getting help and pulling it back to around 40' I figured she wouldn't even be close in the end considering how much she lost on Glandon. From what she said, it sounds like she just...

    Olympic Road Race (women’s) 2024 (August 4rd)

I agree with you about her tactics but she's a well-known quantity in the women's peloton, not some last minute addition that nobody knows. That move wouldn't have surprised anyone as she does late fliers ALL the time. Sometimes she's brought back but she's stayed away for wins plenty of times...

    Olympic Road Race (women’s) 2024 (August 4rd)

Had to watch it late but I kept away from spoilers an wow, what a race! I hear what you're saying, but I disagree. Lets' say Faulkner doesn't do the lion's share on the climbs and they don't catch the front 2. She almost certainly loses the 2-up sprint to Kopecky and is out of the medals. She...

    Olympic Road Race (men’s) 2024 (August 3rd)

Agreed. Pog would have definitely gone with that group and would have missed the Remco move if they didn't stay away. It could have been the same result. Having the best team and being able to use Van Aert to cover the MvdP moves was just perfect.

He'd better hope. He needs someone who will work. Maybe Jorgenson too.
