You are clean. What SHOULD you say in interviews?

You don't see this at the bottom of my post? (I am NOT "JV1973".) I see it. If you don't see it that's because you are looking for it after you hit reply to my post, and signatures are not shown once you (or at least for me) hit reply to a post; only the text people wrote shows up. I applied...

You are clean. What SHOULD you say in interviews?

Anything could be lampooned in the clinic, but I'd probably say... "They are my teammates and as a friend of theirs I will support them. They are still young and succumbed to something that tempts many of us when we are in doubt of ourselves. I have thought about doping often. I love working...

    WADA code updated for 2015

I imagine the code doesn't mind riders associating with other riders that have been sanctioned in the past? This means nobody sanctioned as a rider can retire and act as a coach, doctor, PT, etc., yes?

Study - Dopers could benefit 'for decades'

This is the real issue. Opportunity. Personally, I think a study showing mice on steroids were still stronger several weeks later has nothing to do with humans being stronger for decades after. Maybe the latter is true, but that can't be concluded from the former.

    Tommy D gets heckled

VAM - 60/13.566*365=1614 - pretty high for a 7.3% grade with an avg elevation of nearly 7000'. the w/kg (body weight only) would be about 5.97 (358 watts), assuming TD was 60kg, had 8.5kg of bike/gear with him, rolling resistance of .005, cda/cxa of .325, air density of about .97kg/m^3 and no...

    Tommy D gets heckled

In terms of VAM and w/kg it's like...basic math for the former and intermediate for the latter. TD is one of the douchiest of all-time from multiple accounts of those that lived with his ex-wife. And I'm sure that's a reliable source right, I mean who's ex isn't?

    Ferrari still in business

It's a bit like 100 weekend warriors trying to take down Nibali on a climb. He's just flat out more intelligent than they are AND he doesn't have to play by the same rules. If they want to take him down they'd have to pay him to be on their side. No other way. As others have said, he has a...

    The FTP Passport

Merckx Index, I appreciate you staying civil with the discussion. I think we are just looking at this through different lenses and it makes it impossible to really understand one another. The problem with using a few studies to support or argue against an FTP Passport is in the studies'...

    The FTP Passport

OK, mad respect for crickets. Study 1: weekend warriors tested once a week for four weeks. Does that really tell us anything? Study 2: So you want everyone to do a peak effort on the trainer or in training within 14 days of a big race? How does that work in with someone racing 80 days a...

    The FTP Passport

Nice. Maybe that cyclist happens to be an insect that rides a mini bike? As for the previous poster talking about performance changes that can be "expected", I think that ranges anywhere from dying in ones sleep to becoming a "mutant". Just to reiterate, I love numbers/data. If y'all can...

What endurance sport did they come in from? Their balance of 10 second power and FTP is excellent.

AKA, "I don't actually care about power data, which is why I don't have a bunch of raw data and analysis already that i've been analyzing the past 10+ years. I'd rather spend my time accumulating 10,000 posts on a message board com paining about a bunch stuff I don't actually know anything...

    The FTP Passport

I'm not saying there is "nothing to see here". I'm saying people can already see what you are looking for (regarding power), and that it doesn't reveal the other picture you are looking for (regarding who is doping) more efficiently. It's like trying to look at someone's face that is 15 feet...

    The FTP Passport

Herein lies the problem. Between Alex, Andy and myself you have vast amounts of experience with power meters. You say, "If we start getting the data". I don't think you realize how many files we've looked at from different athletes of all calibers using all sorts of power meters. It's...
