    Giro d'Italia Giro d'Italia 2025 stage 20: Verrès – Sestrière, 205 km

Great post, fully agree on practically everything. UAE showed levels of disasterclassing that even Movistar in their Valverde/Landa/Nairo years didn't display. Also, it didn't feel like a team at all, McNulty denying any turns to save his 10th spot in GC? You saw Rafal Majka shaking his head in...

Teams & Riders The official Egan Bernal is the new Egan Bernal thread

I like the combi that he and Arensman form. Bernal the punchier of the two, Arensman with the diesel engine. It really is a bummer that Ineos brought a very mediocre climbing team alongside these two guys. If they would have had the likes of de Plus, Sheffield or even Kwiat there Today they...

    Giro d'Italia Giro d'Italia 2025 Stage 10: Lucca – Pisa (Time Trial)

Only 38 seconds between the number 6 and 13. Quite some could be domestiques in the 3rd week in there though. Curious to see how the cards will be played between the UAE guys but also within Ineos and Bahrain.

    Giro d'Italia Giro D'Italia 2025 Stage 9: Gubbio – Siena (181km)

Trek's strategy was fine, until Vacek made his move with 40km to go. That felt like betting on two horses: stage win for Vacek (which was very unlikely given that he needed to gap a minute to very strong riders that could profit from Ineos work) and GC for Ciccone. I think Ciccone is a real...

    Giro d'Italia Giro D'Italia 2025 Stage 9: Gubbio – Siena (181km)

I doubt that, McNulty ends the stage just behind all the GC competitors. If you are going full gass for 40 km as a Domestique you don't lose only 20 seconds on a steep beast of a climb like that. All is setting up for a typical UAE popcorn Giro where apparently still 4 guys think that they can...

    Giro d'Italia Giro D'Italia 2025 Stage 9: Gubbio – Siena (181km)

What a stage. Quite baffled by both UAE's and Lidl Trek's strategy, both didn't really seem to pan out a winning strategy. If UAE truly wants to put minutes into Roglic they would let Yates and McNulty ride their asses off until the last 1,5km but both were fresh enough to end in the top-12 on...

    Giro d'Italia Giro d'Italia 2025 Stage 4: Alberobello – Lecce

This is beautiful, these guys must have raced together a lot as well since they're from the same generation. And yes, I refuse to call that social media by its *** new name. Still have a burner account there to find some info on certain topics where it can be informative.

    Giro d'Italia Giro d'Italia 2025 Stage 4: Alberobello – Lecce

Don't know if it's true but I read on Twitter that the entire podium Today consists of guys who are from the same region. Zijlaard, Van Uden and Kooij all being from around Rotterdam. Having a podium of one nationality is already quite something but this is quite nuts.

Vuelta a España La Vuelta Femenina 2025 (May 4-10)

Professional win number 257 for Vos. I mean if Pogi ever is up for a real challenge, try to get close to that number buddy.

Teams & Riders The Cheetah of Numansdorp - Olav Kooij thread

Bora not only doesn't have a great track record with sprinter, they don't have a great track record with any of their new signings. With Ineos the issue could be that they still don't want him at the Tour. The NL is a very Tour minded cycling country, way more than Belgium for instance. As a...

Teams & Riders The Remco Evenepoel is the next Eddy Merckx thread

Reminded me a bit of Dauphine last year, constantly getting dropped early and then pacing your way to a subtop position. Nothing impressive but nothing to be schocked about either.

Daniel Benson is reporting that Olav Kooij is on the brink of signing a contract with Decathlon - Ag2R. Interesting transfer. https://dnlbenson.substack.com/p/breaking-news-decathlon-ag2r-la-mondiale

    Mental or random cycling statistics

Not mental as in, impressive, but how on earth does Marc Hirschi still is third in the CQ ranking? Feels like the guy is having an absolute nightmare of a season and even last year I can only name a couple of nameworthy achievements. https://cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/start.asp
