    Strade Bianche 2026, March 7, one-day race

Crows don't tell the whole story; they are influenced by the weather in cycling just as much. It's TV viewing that would give you a fairer picture.

I mean, I can't blame Pogacar for reaching his monstrous level, but another year like this ain't good for this beautiful sport.

Decathlon CMA CGM Team once needed a thread

Plus, if Kooij really has a Laporte-like virus, the Tour might even come into question. Deploying Seixas at the Tour this year (what has been rumoured in the French press),, feels like madness. Given the media pressure that will be put on the kid, going into the biggest bike race as a...

Ironically, this is also bad news for MvdP. A scenario like last year was, in a way, perfect for him.

Teams & Riders Arnaud De Lie is De Truth Discussion Thread

Sorry, but De Lie is just way too good and talented to be farming 1.1. races for the fourth year in a row. If you look at the guy's potential just dodging the big guys during the year won't be a solution for him either.

Teams & Riders The "MVP" Mathieu Van der Poel Road Discussion Thread

Curious to see in what shape he'll arrive. From 2022 to 2024 his first race was always quite meh, but knowing MvdP, he won't be there merely gain fitness and sees himself with a chance to win.

Teams & Riders The Remco Evenepoel is the next Eddy Merckx thread

A question from my ignorant brain: if the weight factor is such a deciding factor, according to many, why did he outperform quite a decent field in Cumbre del Sol, a climb over 9% on average? Does the weight become more crucial the longer the climb takes?

Teams & Riders Arnaud De Lie is De Truth Discussion Thread

Which monument do you give him the best chance to win? The thing is, I don't see him winning P-R either because his bike handling isn't of the levels of MvdP, WvA etc. RvV could suit his capabilities, but with MvdP and Pogacar nuking the race at the Oude Kwaremont nowadays I don't think he's up...

Teams & Riders Team Visma - Lease a Bike

Well, Heemskerk didn't manage to improve JV significantly in the last 1,5 years. His 2024 Tour level was at par with his 2025 Tour level, but in the former he had to endure a massive crash. Maybe a change of scenery isn't bad at all for him.

You are actually completely right, quite impressive that you remembered that. But it's one of those constructs that in part of Flanders is used a lot.

    4th Muscat Classic (6 February) - 15th Tour of Oman (7-11 February)

How's that Cofidis rider not relegated seriously? If we're not going to penalize this kind of reckless sprinting it's going to be a painful season with loads of crashes.

Teams & Riders Tadej Pogačar discussion thread

If you want to use the Tennis analogy, there's never been a time in which the dominance of Djokovic came close to that of Pogacar. Djokovic's reign spans two generations, the old generation with Federer and Nadal, and the younger generation with Sinner and Alcaraz. Yes, there were seasons where...

Teams & Riders Cian Uijtdebroeks - From the wetlands to the top of cycling

If you truly believe you have earned a free role in the Tour after *checking notes*, winning the Tour de l'Ain, you are beyond delusional. I rather think that he wanted a free role in another GT, which is still a stretch, but in case too many of their GC guys would be injured, you could make a...

Teams & Riders Cian Uijtdebroeks - From the wetlands to the top of cycling

I suspect the pages on this forum / wins ratio for this rider might reach even more unexplainable levels. :tearsofjoy:
