He did not. He was about as good as last year, despite having to chase to catch up before Cipressa. Pogacar was just considerably stronger than last year.

He was only about 2–3 seconds off last year's pace on the Poggio, riding most of it alone.

I think he was about as strong as last year, but this year he had some catching up to do right before the Cipressa, which they then rode even harder than last year, enough to put him slightly over the top imo.

You could do that and then delete it after 5 minutes or so, just to get it out of your system.

I disagree, Pogacar knows this descent well enough to ride it blindfolded. Little chance of gaining more than a few meters. He did everything right, up to the point when he almost launched his sprint and hesitated.

Pidcock chiefly has himself to blame today. He made a mess of that sprint.

I don't know how decent he looked, haven't checked yet but I think he was nowhere near the front of the group at the top of the Poggio.
