This might be slightly offtopic but what happened to the early rumors with Col Druscie? That aside there are a lot of things I like about the rumoured route. First week is more or less perfect but the second week could be better. Third week is very, very promising compared to recent years.

I am mostly surprised that the Tour decided to make three stages with 200 km or more. That is vastly against the trent from recent years where a stage of 180 km would be considered a mammoth-stage by Tour-standards.

I believe they did such a beautiful stage back in 1998 as well. I remember Pantani attacking on Fedaia with Tonkov and Zülle lost for words and losing several minutes. Guerini won that stage.

It is worrying but Giro 2023 risk the fate of having the worst route of the GT's - something I find very rare. What about gravel? Is it rumoured somewhere? Stages with possible stretches of gravel?

Amazing how little is known about the last week. Two weeks before the official presentation usually has 90 percent of the route done in here.

Just one more question - Stage 14 to Cesano Maderno on a saturday. Is it expected to be at least hilly? Or do we actually have to use a precious weekend-day for a boring sprint?

A week before the official presentation. I guess we know more or less the whole route but at the same time less details on the mountain stages. I assume there are no more news on the design of Lago Laceno, Crans Montana, Bondone-stage?
