Really sad to see Kristoff retire with a dnf. He had a great career won two monuments and other important classics, 4 Tour stages and could have been even greater if he had been just a tiny bit faster in the Bergen Worlds in 2017, when he finished just centimiters away from taking the World...

Super dominant win today, for me Remco is already the best TT rider since Indurain, before that is difficult to compare because one day TTs were not a thing. What is even scary is that among current riders I don't see who could challenge him in an average TT route for the next couple of years...

Its an impressive achievement but to be fair Worlds and Olympics TTs are only a thing since the 90s and Europeans since the 2010s. Massive result from Larsen, expected a bit more from Hayter and also Ganna who lost a lot of time despite silver.
