Quite likely as well that Sagan hasn't declined at all but is just overshadowed by how phenomenal Laporte is, compounded by how often Laporte gifts wins to specific riders.

2 Seconds Faster than Petersen, that makes Laporte the World Champion by a larger gap then the (huge) gap behind him and Bouhanni! Glad Laporte has already kicked off his year with a win, I’m looking forward to him winning all 5 classics, the green jersey and World Champs at a minimum this year.

I guess it's time for us to discuss the best rider of the season! Some people vote for weird riders like Tom Duuomolin and GWA and Chriss Vroome and Ronaldo and Dan Marint and Peter Sagen and Andy Schlechk, but in this thread we only accept honest, true discussion, so who is the greatest?

It's a shame Laporte has already won, barring generosity, really means there's not much to discuss, unless we want to consider who he'll gift it to, but I think he'll just take yellow no trouble. :)

Bonhauui isn't racing the tour, Cofidis has finally put their faith 100% in the greatest rider in the world. :)

So the most exciting tour in a long while is now going the same way as the pasts ones, a doped up train steaming up the mountains, thanks UCI. There are a few guys who have the legs to save this tour and make a statement against Froome, even less I have faith in to try. I won't have any respect...

That was kind of Laporte, I think he was Bonhauui swerve at the end and though 'wow, he really needs this one for his confidence', then showed his superiority by coming as close as possible without winning. Cofidis should see this and not worry about Bonhauui in the tour at all.
