The Tour for me. Probably because even though the overall was decided fairly early on, there were still so many interesting stages and I found myself getting sucked in to the battle for the podium places. I gave it a 6 - probably would have been a 7 if it weren't for that appalling final stage. Some good racing, although eventually I found the inevitable uphill sprint that occurred in the final 2km of almost all the MTFs a little bit dull.

They obviously did some good editing in their highlights programme - Hugh Porter definitely commented on the crash, and then they did switch to Van Baarle's group finishing and Hugh Porter said something like "our TV cameras nearly missed them crossing the line".

Didn't he give an interview yesterday (?) saying that it was basically all over and he couldn't win it because 27 seconds was too much of a deficit? He's also said this is his last stage race as he's focusing on the track from now on, so maybe he's just not that interested. :confused: What a...

I thought that was pretty good from Froome yesterday. More than anything, I'm pleased he's still trying to gain time - he's making a good race of it. I think it's going to be closer than I thought it would a week ago.

The stuff I've read on Twitter (obviously a great source of information :rolleyes:) suggests that she only applied the murder charge to Reeva i.e. she's saying he didn't intend to kill Reeva, rather than he didn't intend to kill anyone. I would have thought that someone who was used to shooting...

Not guilty of either pre-meditated murder or murder so far. Still a possibility of a lesser verdict though.

I queried the other day whether being paced by the team car was allowed after a puncture (as Cav got paced up after he stopped in stage 1). Alex Dowsett has complained on Twitter that after his puncture(s) yesterday he wasn't allowed to be paced back to the break: ‏@alexdowsett Team car was...

wow that's awful for him, but absolutely the right decision. Just hope everything turns out alright for the family.

I have a video of him somewhere where he literally veers from one side of the road right over to the other in the course of his sprint. I have no idea how he stayed upright and didn't take out any other rider. He wouldn't get away with it now!!

They finished in Glasgow in 2007, Liverpool in 2008, and Guildford in 2012 - but I suspect that London is just more willing to stump up the cash, so it does tend to finish in London.
