When is the smackdown on Chris Horner?

In the running world there is certainly data on age vs. performance. The laymens version is discussed in the book "Born to Run". The cliff notes version is that performances increase from 18 to peak at 27 and then begins a decline. The decline is incredibly shallow however and doesn't reach...

When is the smackdown on Chris Horner?

Y'all are missing the only obvious conclusion that one could arrive at. horners performance PROVES that cycling is now clean because CH, being clean his whole career and never having seen or even heard about doping, is now able to compete with all the dopers since they no longer dope...

Vuelta a España - Stage 17 - Peñafiel individual time trial, 46 km

Tommy D.! How many places will Tommy D. move up? I'm thinking 2, possibly 3 if he's on his A game and Frank Schleck isn't

If you were Schleck, what would you do to win this TdF?

Or maybe he'll door Schleck since he's leaving Saxo anyway and they'll need a new GC rider for next year.....

If you were Schleck, what would you do to win this TdF?

Yeah, AC was clearly holding back, waiting for the Schleklet. Thats why the cycling world has been honoring his amazing sportsmanship for the past 24 hours.....

If you were Schleck, what would you do to win this TdF?

Well they still have to ride on Thursday so we'll see. Predicting a 10 minute gain on the basis of yesterdays 1 km chase makes as much sense as all the know-it-all's here predicting exactly how much time Schleck will loose in the TT based on some other TT in some other time, in some other...

If you were Schleck, what would you do to win this TdF?

Judging by how Schleck gained 28 seconds in one km when both were on the limit yesterday I expect he can pick up 10 minutes on the Tourmalet.... Extrapolation is fun, but they still have to ride their bikes.

If you were Schleck, what would you do to win this TdF?

Yesterday, after 2 weeks of racing in the heat and at the end of a long climb on a long day, Schleck, mostly by himself, gained 28 seconds in one kilometer on Contador, Sanchez, and Menchov all working together. He lost time on the descent but that is to be expected. In another 1/2 km he would...

Does sportsmanship/etiquette have a place in modern sports?

Its all psychology..... Its all psychology folks. Lance waiting for Jan when he was several minutes ahead said he wasn't afraid of him. Lance gifting Pantani a summit finish said he wasn't afraid of him. He was teasing them and getting in their heads. Contador attacking Schlek in this...

    Contador apologizes on youtube

Its all a psychological mind-****.... You can't be to much of an *** because cyclists need to cooperate with each other at times. Flicking somebody when they are down and then apologizing immediately afterwards gets Bertie 39 seconds and keeps AS from feeding off his anger and...

Does sportsmanship/etiquette have a place in modern sports?

cycling=wrestling???? Maybe professional cycling should go the way of professional wrestling with pre-determined good guys who play fair and bad guys who attack all the time. Maybe we need scripted "drama", with riders changing sides occasionally. It's not far from that right now as it...

Does sportsmanship/etiquette have a place in modern sports?

Fair play in cycling I get the idea that cyclists want to be seen as playing fair, going mano a mano on the climbs and not taking advantage of a competitors bad luck. Of seeing who is the best man on the bike not the luckiest man in the race. I understand it is classless to attack while a...

Return of pro level stage racing in Colorado?

Lots of roads is relative but compared to the front range, yes, there are lots of roads that have little traffic. Since you live in Steamboat, think about Gore Pass. I've personally ridden it in October without seeing a single car. There are other possibilities as well. A race in the...
