    Arctic Race of Norway 2014 (2.1) 14.08 - 17.08

I agree that he does not always get the chances that he deserves from the prespective of his relative fitness. That is of course not good. But when he acts like he does you begin to wonder if he is left out because he is perceived as being a bad team player. And again, maybe he isn't. But...

    Arctic Race of Norway 2014 (2.1) 14.08 - 17.08

There is no one who whines as much as Nordhaug: "I do not know why the team management does not listen to me": http://www.tv2.no/2014/08/16/sport/arctic-race/5911144 "Frustrated Nordhaug wants to ride the tour": http://www.siste.no/sport/article7423730.ece "Nordhaug fooled by turned sign"...

STAGE15: Cesana Torinese - Col Du Galibier (Valloire) 149 kms

The riders are putting another nail in the coffin for cycling, I feel. Climbs taken out by bad weather, now by bad cyclists. Giro di Farce. Boo.

    Doping in XC skiing

Still, I think the typical ratio between men and women in Swedish and Norwegian national championships is around 5 to 1. And since the sport is tiny, that will make an impact in the "pressure" for athletes to train hard. Norway has got some pressure, most countries don't. Kowalczyk is pretty...

    Doping in XC skiing

Says it all really, they didn't record the higher value. Wonder how many times that happened? I will watch the documentary when I have time. Good that you are noticing things in it in the meantime!

    Doping in XC skiing

Speed limit? I am not sure I am following you? The seasons beginning winter 96-97 until 99-00 the peak HB at FIS-test were 180-184-183-184, keeping in mind that the HB limit was at 185 at the time (until 2001 as I understood), I would surmise that some nations did advanced blood doping to keep...

    Doping in XC skiing

The real question is why there wasn't more debate and temporary suspensions of athletes with elevated HB back in the nineties. Why was FIS not transparent? Who did they protect? Did they protect dopers, did they protect the reputation of the sport, did they try to do both? I am not sure if...

    Tour Méditerranéen 2.1 (6th-10th February)

He is a diesel so he can't sprint, but he can do good with attacks in the hard finishes. As he did a few years ago when he won that years Strade Bianche. So I think he needs to go some distance before the finish line. This final looks real promising!

Steffen Kjaergaard - the naive and innocent Norwegian? ;)

That is the point: how could he have done that? Was he told by someone? Did he have more pills and where did they went? Was there some kind of marking on the pills? I feel like there is information is missing from this story. We have no information if the swedish cyclist himself know that it...

Steffen Kjaergaard - the naive and innocent Norwegian? ;)

I don't understand this: Silseth said he thought it was Caffeine pills when he ingested them/one, but then somehow found out it was really Centramin/Amphetamine. How did he find out, was he told before or after ingestion? Did he receive more than one pill and what happened with those?

What does this even mean? Who? Caught for what? How? When?

Here is an interesting new development: Ole Kristian Silseth tried doping (amphetamines): Translated Dagbladet article I wonder who the "well-known swedish cyclist" is... Looking at who rode Postgirot 1984 (the race before the doping incident): did Silseth really ride for the Bianchi team (he...

Erik Tysse is one (CERA), no? Don't you think that there may be more norwegian (ex-)dopers beside the ones already catched? Especially in the light of recent events.
