It didnt end up mattering but the form he turned up in surely someone like Elissonde or De La Cruz would of been stronger

Re: Re: Vuelta this year? Personally I wouldnt push it as he is still only 22. Still the only riders they could send that would be competitive in GC would be him or Thomas and the Vuelta stages won't suit him

Re: Re: Agree wholeheartedly. I would actually say I think he is the one rider who should be gunning for 2 GTs. Give him dual leadership at the Giro and sole leadership at the Vuelta. Although I suspect they would like one of those GTs to be as support in the TDF

Re: Who's to see the crashing didn't have a knock on effect? Looking at riders like Porte proves teams absolutely would send him as a sole leader in a sponsor critical race There arent enough riders capable of getting GC podiums for that not to be the case

Not having Bernal in Yellow would make tomorrow's stage more exciting I reckon but anulling today's stage altogether would be a total farce

Re: All the other contenders have numerous doms ready to pull him back. There are hard stages on the horizon that he must be worried/expect will break him
