Here is a link to the 21 stages of the Giro d'Italia.

The question is: is this Giro more suited for climbers or for TT riders?
Do you like this year's course or you prefer the old style, with the Alps in the last week?
How many are the stages...
All right, the links effectively don't give the exact idea of the strenght of the new Ivan Basso, in the first one there is not the moment of the attack of Basso in the climb, in the second one there is not the climb of the Sasso Tetto. However as I have already told
the history of Ivan Basso...
Sorry if I say this.., but you don't know Ivan Basso at all. Ivan Basso is the most professional rider in the world together with Rebellin; during these last two years of absence he has been training more than all the other riders and just he returned to the races at Japan cup in October 2009 he...
You have forgotten the most promising riders of the last years, Cunego and Riccò other than Piepoli; instead I'd exclude Savoldelli from the list... he has won the Giro only in lucky or particular circumstances. However for that concerns Savoldelli, he won the giro in 2002, that year he didn't...
I think Ivan Basso could have won TDF in 2006 if his manager Riis had not left him out of the race; and also in the years later... Unfortunately, this year Ivan Basso as well as Damiano Cunego, who are the best Italian stage-race riders at the moment (apart from Riccò and Sella who are under...
In my opinion Cunego is Pantani's heir; he reveiled this at Giro04. I think if he ride with the 2004 istintivity he will be the king of the mountains for the next 10 years. Now he has the right age! Let's wait for him...
Even if I'm Italian, I'd like very much if Lance won the Giro09; but... Do you remember what Basso has done in Giro06?? He was on another planet... That Basso is unbeatable; you tell that a rider after a ban is not the same as before... but Basso has already demonstrated that he has come back...
I think the podium at Giro 2009 will be:
1. Ivan Basso
2. Lance Armstrong
3. Damiano Cunego
These three riders are 2/3 categories above all the others.
Besides I think Lance Armstrong will win the Tour and Ivan Basso will win the Vuelta; Damiano Cunego, instead, will win the World Road...
