We hope all of you have a great holiday season and wonderful Christmas. Thanks so much for being part of the Cycling News community in 2025 and beyond!
I'd recommend cleaning up the sticky threads. They take up prime space at the top of forums and I think some can be un-stickied by now. For example, the years-old thread about creating a poll on this sub-forum that is no longer relevant with the new forum software.
That is what I thought but I didn't want to create a thread just to test. I'd recommend the sticky threads are reviewed and some un-stickied. On my desktop on loading this subforum only the sticky threads are visible without scrolling and at least a couple seem no longer relevant.
I don't see a need for them being displayed in the thread list. I could see them helpful in filtering searches (once they are regularly and correctly used), where multiple tags might be used for one thread.
But displaying them in the thread titles disrupts the ability to read down the forum's...
I just use firefox's "reader view" (toggled with F9 key) for the live reports. Much more legible, and no jumping around with the timed refresh. I just refresh now and again myself for updates.
I'm not a fan of all of the items in the user details part of the post. They end up taking a lot of vertical space and lead to tons of useless whitespace on short posts. I'm glad I can at least turn off user signatures so I don't have to see that over and over, but the space is still often...

Maybe the angle that non-SSL allows intermediates like...
Anybody know any rental place right in Zurich? Searching online mainly turned up http://bikeswitzerlandrentals.com/ - but they don't actually have a Zurich location and would have to ship the bikes there on a train, adding cost (75CHF each way) and possibility of delays I wouldn't have picking...
Late opportunity to go to Zurich in a couple of weeks and I'm looking to get in some riding in the Alps while I am there. Anybody have any experience renting a road bike out there and have a shop to recommend?
I'm looking to get a bike for a few days of the trip and have started looking for...
