    Jan Ullrich

I doubt it just based on the fact that he isn't an *******. The hatred towards Lance has not much to do with the fact that he cheated. It is everything else that he did. Even after Jan won the TDF in a dominate fashion, had he been the kind of person to turn into an egotistical ***, that would...

Official Lance Armstrong Thread: Part 3 (Post-Confession)

Does it matter? Horner struggles to get a contract, which is kind of amazing considering how dominating he was at the Vuelta. He is so on everyone's radar that not a single team believes he can repeat the performance or wants to deal with the possible fallout. Consider the low bar some teams...

    LeMond II

Lemond doesn't hate dopers. He hates the system that in the least does nothing to stop and at worse encourages it. Lance Armstrong just happens to be entrenched into the system more than any other rider has. What other rider has ended other cyclist careers, bribed officials, had direct lines...

Thank you. You described Armstrong to a T. That and every other ******* that needs conflict to breath.

Study - Dopers could benefit 'for decades'

ah no. Corticosteroid help with recovery just like any other steroids. Lance tested positive for them back in 1999 at the TDF. Just like any steriod it helps with recovery. Before EPO, steriods were common before testing became better.

Official Lance Armstrong Thread: Part 3 (Post-Confession)

Lance Armstrong is a wet noodle when he doesn't have his entourage supporting him. He is about as intelligent as a poker buddy who goes all in everytime with a rigged deck. Take away the rigged deck and your poker buddy looks like a clueless idiot. The guy knows more about a very narrow...

    LeMond II

Steel doesn't have to be heavy. I have a Colnago Technos that is just under 18 lbs. For 1-2 lbs you get something that doesn't crack, is easy to repair, and provides a comfortable ride. The talk about rust is way overrated as well. If you keep the paint up, wipe down your bike after a ride...

The Hour Record attempt by Jens Voigt (18.09.2014)

Most difference are marginal at best. Bearings don't matter much in comparison to air resistances. They had good tires back then so not much of a comparison. Biggest differences are going to be disc wheels, aero helmut, and aero bars. Everything else is a push.

The Hour Record attempt by Jens Voigt (18.09.2014)

I would bet Boardman with some training could still beat Voigt. The difference between 51km and 56km is tremendous.

How will Jens Voigt prepare his hour record attempt ?

The power to go a given speed increase as a cubic function and that is due to air resistance. Say what you want about Sosenka but he was very aerodynamic for being such a big guy. I don't know why the record that voigt would need to break would be Sosenka's. Shouldn't it be Boardman's record...

Obree praises Voigt as a respectable rider

I used to like Voigt but got turned off over his "burn them at the stake" comment about riders suspended at the 2006 TDF. I don't know what to say. He is a keeper of the omerta and a terrible rep of the riders. Too, me all the other stuff is kind of small compared to this.

The Hour Record attempt by Jens Voigt (18.09.2014)

Yeah, I always thought the same thing. Hard burst like during a classic wear you out a lot faster than riding at threshold. Obree did the hour twice in less than 24 hours so make of that what you will.

    Ryders crash -motor?

This should be very easy to duplicate. Pick up a bike and spin the back wheel to 20 mph or so and then lay the bike down. Just mythbuster it.

    Ryders crash -motor?

I am not saying it is or isn't a motor. I would though bet my last dollar that someone in the peloton has already tried it. As much is spent on dope, why is a cheap bike modification such a stretch.
