Dang… Letting Gesink take the jersey brings a burning, teary sensation to the corners of my eyes… That’s pretty classy, even if I have to think they sacrificed some pace keeping the likes of Kuss and Gesink on-board for the finish

8/10 Best Tour I can remember. Route was by far the best. Was a bit of a shame some of the more ambitious stages didn’t pan out as hoped (no echelons on stage 2, Roubaix stage a bit chaotic but not in a good way) the mountain stages were mostly great fun, with some epic performances like...

50,2 km/h average for Ganna. Tough to see even WvA smashing it. Also that final climb is a nasty little thing. Not sensing a lot of Christian charity for the riders after three weeks :disrelieved:

I think it’s hospital in the medieval sense of the word, like a place for pilgrims to stay. Rocamadour is a historic pilgrimage site with a bunch of former monasteries (maybe even a few current ones)
