After doing next to nothing in his first season with Movistar, Rémi Cavagna and the team seem to end the contract (running through the 2026 season) mutually. It is rumored that he will sign with Groupama-FDJ. View: https://x.com/As_Ciclismo/status/1843701383431942194

World Championships 2024: Men's Road Race (September 29)

HERE HE COMES!! HE GOES FOR GOLD! NOTHING CAN STOP HIM! Edit: My bad, i might have gotten carried away a bit.

I came to greatly dislike transfer season as a Movistar supporter, and it's been like this for a while. Everybody gets to show off their new shiny toys while I scroll through dozens of pages to maybe get a crumb of information about which young spanish talent or which big rider Eusebio managed...

    Vuelta a España Vuelta a España 2024, stage 20: Villarcayo - Picón Blanco, 172.0k

Mas looks like he - really does not think he can win a stage - really does not care about Ben O'Connor The fact that they let him come back dazzles me a bit, BOC has a real shot tomorrow to fend off Mas and Carapaz and remain in 2nd. I am rather certain this group didn't go all out the last...

Vuelta a España Vuelta a España 2024, stage 13: Lugo - Puerto de Ancares, 175.6k

As strong as Mas was in the first week (which is very unusual for him), I should've figured his form then was too good to be true (for three weeks). We will see how the weekend goes, but winning the Vuelta is definitely not going to happen. If not for Mas' fading legs, it's for MOV's absolute...

Good god almighty, my heart just skipped three beats, that was scary.

    Enric Mas Rising Star

Guess i can throw that take into the wind (the Almeida part, that is). Enric looks like he is in incredible shape, and it would be a shame if he didn't turn that into a stage win. I just can't fathom him winning ... anything really.

    Enric Mas Rising Star

I like your optimism, but this is far from a two horse race between Enric and Roglic. Yes, Primoz is very likely going to be the guy to beat, but personally I still believe that Joao Almeida is all around just going to be stronger than Enric. He will need a little bit of luck on his side, I assume.

Yeah, that is shaping up to be one rough campaign. Here is to hoping that guys like Pelayo Sanchez and Carlos Canal can deliver good results on a more consistent basis. As I was already asking in the Movistar team forum though, one question will remain with the current state of the 2025 roster...

    Vuelta a España Vuelta a España 2024, stage 4: Plasencia - Pico Villuercas, 170.4k

Mas won't ever be the most exciting rider or have any sort of explosiveness in him, but him looking this good in week 1 is very nice to see. He usually gets quite a bit stronger the longer the Vuelta goes on.

Well.... so much for Movistar being a potential suitor... lmao

Regarding Movistar, they seem to have already found Aranburu's "replacement" with a very similar rider in Orluis Aular from Caja-Rural. Rumored to sign a 2-year-deal very soon. https://ciclismoatual.com/ciclismo/a-movistar-quer-orluis-aular-para-colmatar-a-sada-de-alex-aranburu-para-a-arkea?twit=805

Olympic gold medaillist Pauline Ferrand-Prévot wants to focus on road races in 2025 to try and win the Tour de France. She said she will take a couple of weeks to determine which team she wants to join for next season, I assume just about any team would be willing to sign her. View...
