Teams & Riders The Official Wouter Lambertus Martinus Henricus Poels thread.

Wout had a super 3rd week of the 2023 Vuelta. When I looked, he was at the front a lot of the time culminating in the stage 20 win. Way to go! Edit: 2022 to 2023

Way to go Sepp. You make your country proud of you the way you rode and conducted yourself. One win of many I hope.

Cycling on USA TVs, desktops, laptops, and handheld devices

I've pretty much given up on USA TV presentations. All year I've VPNed into Australia and watched streaming on SBS. So it is the only the cost of my VPN of which I use and have anyway. And SBS have televised (streamed) pretty much every race I wanted to see. The announcers aren't the best...

Cycling on USA TVs, desktops, laptops, and handheld devices

Thanks for this -- you know, if I remember right, the past years they had 2 complete teams covering the TDF, and the replays were by the 2nd team and not the "Old NBCSN Team" of Liggett, Paul, CVV, and others. I might be remembering wrong though.

Cycling on USA TVs, desktops, laptops, and handheld devices

Thanks. I faintly remember reading or hearing some where that Chris Horner wouldn't be there this year. I was hoping he would be (and they would get rid of CVV, if anybody). I'm just wondering whether to get Peacock for 1 month, or just go with my VPN linking to Australia and watching SBS...

Cycling on USA TVs, desktops, laptops, and handheld devices

Does anybody know who NBC and its derivatives will have in the booth calling the ToF this 2023?

Cycling on USA TVs, desktops, laptops, and handheld devices

I got NBC Peacock coverage again this year, same as last year. $5 for the 1 month the ToF is on is not bad at all, and then you can stop with no repercussion. I thought the announcers were great too: Phil and Bob for the race, and CVV and Chris and Burmeister for color. To me, just as good...

They would still find some way to crap on bicycle race watchers.:D

Cycling on USA TVs, desktops, laptops, and handheld devices

You know, before covid, and on the mountain stages, they used to put CVV out on a bicycle to preview the stage and show a bit of how the stage would be. I enjoyed those immensely, though I don't enjoy CVV that much. Chris seems to be a bit more subdued than he is on his youtube channel. But...

Cycling on USA TVs, desktops, laptops, and handheld devices

Yeah. That's right. I got up at 05:00amCST and it was on and was the old pre-show. I just looked for Sun 07/03 and it is 1hr 30 difference VS the 2hr today. So, I guess the "broadcast" shows won't have the pre-show and the start of the race, but the streaming shows at Peacock will. Which is...

OK. Thanks. I don't know what I heard now, as I googled it and this is his 50th year being involved with the TdF, so he sure wasn't going to stop at 49.

Cycling on USA TVs, desktops, laptops, and handheld devices

I was suprised to see/hear Phil today. I remember last year he said that was going to be his last year. He didn't say exactly that, but when it came up between all of them something that was to happen next (this) year, he said they would have to do it because he wouldn't be there. I'm glad...

Cycling on USA TVs, desktops, laptops, and handheld devices

Peacock shows stage 2 begins tomorrow morning Sat 07/02/2022 at 5:00am. TV Listings for USA TV channel shows it starts at 07:00am (all times USA CST). Anybody have any insight to this? I'd hate to get up at 5:00am just to find out it starts 2 hrs later -- LOL.

How can I watch Omloop from the US?

I started doing what you suggest, and of course I don't know any language other than English. And even listening to some of the announcers on Euro-sport is about the same to me as a foreign language.! But, I'm pretty much lost without having some announcing telling me what is happening. That...

From what I can tell, only the price, which dictates what you are able to watch and if there are advertisements/level of advertisements. It appears to me that a person uses the exact same interface whatever they are able to watch. Is anything else different?
