Teams & Riders Chris Froome Discussion Thread.

Average blood volume is about 70 ml/kg in normal human. Considering he is an athlete, because of all hormonal adaptations during efforts, it is probably a bit larger. So it might be around 5 liters, maybe 6, for Froome. Anyway this really depends how fast you loose blood and if the volume is...

    Todays idiot masters fattie doper

Igor Kopse, Slovenia, one of the best amateur cyclist (multiple amateur WCh RR and TT titles), just got 4 year suspension for refusing to take a control. It was has happened at a TT in Austria. His excuse was, that he had a slight cold and took medicine, which has pseudoephedrine in it, and when...

Should the grupetto have been DQ'd on Stage 15?

Re: Re: I wouldn't say it is too complicated. And with current time limits and additional, let's say, 10 %, I think there shouldn't be too many OTL. And it would force whole grupetto to ride faster - sprinters who can climb a bit better might take advantage of this to try and "win" some points...

Should the grupetto have been DQ'd on Stage 15?

They could make two time limits, one where you get your points deduced and the other where you get thrown out no matter what. F.e. at 18 % you get points deduction, preferably a big one, and at 22 % you get thrown out of the race. It would work especially where sprinters are in competition for...

    Rio Olympics 2016

Re: Re: Choking is a legal move in judo. I'm no expert, but from several matches that I've watched during Olympics, judoists usually forfeit pretty soon, when they are being choked. But this was a battle for third place, so that might have been a reason. Although I expected the judge to stop...

Teams & Riders Vincenzo Nibali discussion thread

I think the reason Henao crashed slightly before Nibali is when Nibali went down, Henao braked and when you are braking the bike will go out of the desired line - you are not able to make as sharp turn as when you are not braking.

2016 Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah, August 1 to 7

That certainly has to be a mistake. Atapuma was about 1:20 behind Talansky before today stage and today he gained a minute on him.

Teams & Riders Vincenzo Nibali discussion thread

There was an interview with the president of Italian cycling federation and he said Nibali went too fast into the corner and slipped. He also had MRI done since he hit the handlebar, but all was OK.

He may be fast, but I also think that he is crashing a lot when he goes full speed.
