    Hhh 100

It was a good ride ... not too hot and not too much wind! And yes, there are some hefty fellows on that ride.

Tour de France Stage 6: Montargis - Gueugnon, 225 km

He'll be lucky if he isn't charged w/ assault as well.

    TDF Presentation "Live"

Schleck is just cropped out of this picture; he's on Contador's right. There's another picture that shows the whole stage on Velonews.

    Vuelta the New Tour?

Um, no. It was a drawing of a hand that had the index finger and middle finger extended. You know, making the number two ... definitely not a pistol gesture.

    Voight crash

Me too. I've chipped a tooth on a downhill at 40 - 50 kph, I can't imagine completely losing some at 70 kph.

    Voight crash

His mouth is pretty bloody in the pictures, so unfortunately, there's a possibility that those were teeth. That hurts just to type that.

That crash is reason enough to keep radios in the race. Can you imagine what kind of cluster there would be if the peloton came across a rider like that on a descent at 70 kph?

Could be the wheels causing the punctures as well. Or the combination of the two. Either way, it seems that Saxo has a major supplier issue.

Semantics. He attacked the group he was in, who was likely pacing with him to play it safe. Now if the lead group can hammer it out on the descent, they can gain some big time on the second group (potentially). Again, if that was planned, it's freaking brilliant, IMO.

Armstrong is attacking? If so, that's a great tactical move by Bruyneel if it was planned. Interesting stage so far.

    Brad Wiggins

Bob Stapleton isn't skeptical. He mentioned that after seeing Wiggins' training numbers when he was with Columbia, he thought it was just all a matter of commitment. I wish I could find the link, but Stapleton basically said that the talent has been there all along, it was just a matter of...

Especially when the whole concept of "giving the same time" is based on rider safety. So, essentially with this ruling, they would be encouraging a guy like Levi Leipheimer or Bradley Wiggins to sprint to the front of the bunch to try and close the gap and save time in their GC classification...

Yes, this makes no sense to me. Some reports have Boonen 15-20 riders back with around 1 KM to go, but he ends up finishing 94th @ 15 seconds down (according to VeloNews)? I don't understand this at all...

The fact that those points were obvious doesn't change the fact that they weren't "uneventful". Schleck and Sastre were the disappointments today, for sure. At least Cadel gave it a go. As much as I don't like that guy, he did try to get some time back.
