Top line actually. The dude has one WT victory in 3 years as far as I can count. The last season he was a top sprinter was possibly as far back as 2019. I dont know his wages at Jayco, but it won't suprise me if he hasn't been close to justify that wage during his soon four years at the team.

What is the status of Ayuso at the moment? Can we expect something big from him? There is been lack of progress since his breakthrough 3 years ago.

I guess Finestre - Sestriere is not an option next year, so I'm hoping for the rest of the "usual suspects": - Mortirolo - Aprica - Stelvio - Torri di Fraele or Bormio 2000 - Fedaia - Pordoi or Sella. Or Fedia - Pordoi/Sella - Selva/Canazei - Colle San Carlo - Courmayeur Something involving...

If they do all the chains. They rarely do. But an early intro to the mountains would be nice. A couple of big mountain stages in the Pyrenees already the first week, so the GC will be somewhat settled. That would make it easier with breakaway stages in the second week. Hopefully we'll see more...

7/10. Best giro in several years. Since 2019 perhaps. Three really good GC stages, and some pretty good breakway stages. But there was just too little GC action on too few stages to rate it any better than 7.

I think that climbs like Croix de Fer, Galibier and AdH should be more or less "banned" from CD. I am more open to Madeleine as long as the climb the south side, either for a MTF at Longchamp 1600 or a descent and a MTF at Valmorel. Stages I like in the later years was Megeve in 2020, the Coux...

I am not very fan of stage 7 either. The combo of at least two of Galibier, Croix de Fer and Madeleine feels very overused. I neither think they need to go into the higher climbs in CD. I thinkg they should mainly concentrate the mountain stages to the mountains just north (Chartreuse) and...

A more or less *** route. I understand them wanting to make it not too difficult not scare away some of the riders preparing for the Tour, but they could have done something better than this. Stage 6 and 8 is awful.

Excellent stage. Perhaps the best Giro stage since Torino 2022 or Torri di Fraele 2020.

I didn't follow the stage yesterday, but Hindley was DNF. Which other GC contenders crashed so hard that it makes them less likely to perform for this Giro?

Hirschi is yet again disappointing. He has in no way lived up to the promise from the great 2020 season. Last year was good, but this year he is back on a lower level.....
