Mayby, but I think that depends on both the profile for the Piancavallo stage and the profile the day before. First the day before will not be (if the finish at Piani di Pezze is correct) a stage that almost guaranteed will provide action far from the stage finish like Finestre - Sestriere...

Does not help much. It will still be something like 20-25 kms of flat between the two ascents. And also an important "problem" with that stage is that it probably will come the day after the big Dolomite stage and therefore may prevent action there.

Even if those climbs are repaved also on the descent? I would be strange if they were safe enough to do in a cyclosportive but not in a World Tour race.....
