Okay. I think Ackermann and Matthews for maximum one year would be the best. There are a lot of riders that could or should be of interest for Jayco before the 2027 that would or could be better than those two. Groves are an obvious option. Kiwis like Strong and Fisher-Black are also good...

This would be very nice! Turin would be great if they did the same or something similar as 2022. Zoncolan is a bit more "meh"....... As always I hope for this big medium mountain/hilly stages which Italy has a close to unlimited poential for. And also a big Dolomite stage.

For how long? There are fairly many good riders available after next season, so I don think Matthews tied up for 2027 would be a good idea.

Has Matthews renewed his contract? I wonder if it would be wise to still have an almost 37 year old Matthews on a fairly big contract for 2027 rather to have budget space to pursue younger and more up-and-coming riders.

Does Jayco have less money since they are losing these riders and resort to "desperate" measures like signing Ackermann? Or is it more a question of attracting riders?

I don't see the need for sarcasm. Besides the fight for relegation, what is wrong with not wanting to sign bang average sprinters like Ackermann and rather prioritize their money in another way?

Okay. You've got a point there. Annoying system this. Rewarding teams that can rack up mediocre sprinters and prioritize 1.1 and 1.Pro races. The same way Astana did this year, but just with other type of riders and more stage races.
