Vuelta a España La Vuelta a España 2025: Who will finish on the podium?

    1. Vingegaard 2. Ayuso 3. Ciccone A top level Vingegaard wins this race by over 5 minutes but I think it might be closer than that as he hasn't always come out of the Tour in top shape. It will be a battle to see who emerges as UAEs main GC threat and on home soil I'd favour Ayuso although I'd...

Sky/Ineos Head Carer of 14 years discovered as member of Aderlass doping ring (Megathread)

Of course nothing will come off the Rozman saga. The omerta runs deep and it's the age old tactic of playing for time knowing that once the season is over nobody will care much about it anymore. If there was one thing Sky excelled at above all others it was PR and by them issuing a statement...

    Tadej Pogacar and Mauro Giannetti

I don't know how you can make this assertion. Perhaps it is true but I suspect that it more than likely isn't because nobody actually knows his base level when clean. Presuming that he was already on the rocket fuel whilst winning the Tour on PDBF in 2020, then it is likely that you have to go...

    Tadej Pogacar and Mauro Giannetti

https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/im-already-counting-the-years-until-retirement-tadej-pogacar-accepts-he-cannot-win-forever/ All this retirement talk from Pogacar is slightly bizarre. Whatever happened him during this Tour he transformed from the carefree, fun loving bike rider into a stony...

    Tadej Pogacar and Mauro Giannetti

https://velo.outsideonline.com/road/road-training/the-strength-training-secret-of-pogacar-and-his-tour-domination/ Swart claims that extra core training plays a big part in Pogacars ability to stay seated whenever he attacks. Revolutionary stuff, although this mightn't be as much of an...

    Tadej Pogacar and Mauro Giannetti

The sad reality of doping is that it is nowhere near equitable. We will never know the most talented bike racer only the best responder with the greatest resources combined with their own natural talent. It is anybodys guess as to a riders true level of natural ability but now that the war on...

Sky/Ineos Head Carer of 14 years discovered as member of Aderlass doping ring (Megathread)

It sounds like both Froome and Porte worked closely with Rozman at Sky so maybe it should come as no surprise to note their dramatic transformations around 2011/12. Either that or they just lost the fat!

    Tadej Pogacar and Mauro Giannetti

Just seeing that Pogacar interview and a few things struck me. He’s not a very good liar unlike say Lance who found that part easy and had an ability to make the interviewer feel like an idiot for asking the question. I don’t for one moment believe his answers but you’re not going to hear him...

Tour de France Tour de France 2025 Stage 19: Albertville-La Plagne (93.1k) ‚Historic day, magnificent racing‘ ~ Rob Hatch, probably

Great rides from Lipowitz, Onley and Gall though. The GC is now probably reflective of the overall race. Roglic losing 12 minutes would probably indicate that his days of riding for GC may be nearing an end.

Tour de France Tour de France 2025 Stage 19: Albertville-La Plagne (93.1k) ‚Historic day, magnificent racing‘ ~ Rob Hatch, probably

I think it was an exercise in supreme shithousery by Vingegaard, he just didn't want Pogacar winning the stage. The bad blood between both teams continues.

Ineos must have something on UAE, that's twice they refused to attack Arensman now to allow him win stages. Brain dead stuff from Visma too, Vingegaard left his attack about 300 metres too late but it's just not his nature.

Pogacar should really just soft pedal to the finish line now just to show the lack of adventure from Vingegaard. But he won't because he won't be able to help himself in attacking to try win the stage.

Vingegaard either can't attack or won't attack. Surely he has to try something just to win the stage or is he banking on just reacting to Pogacar. But Pogacar might just sit back now as he doesn't really have to do anything. It's another UAE v Jumbo game of psychology.
