Official Lance Armstrong Thread: Part 3 (Post-Confession)

Sentiment has changed. For the better! Here ... some tool named Stuart Stevens tries to defend Lance. His piece is shallow and foolish. But now ... what's changed ... is the comments section.

    Oscar Pistorius

Beyond the bail issue ... is this case heading for an all-or-nothing outcome? Pre-meditated murder conviction and life imprisonment or else not guilty and scott-free? Seems obvious it was a rage killing, a culpable homicide, a step short of pre-meditated but deserving of 10-20 years of hard...

(Sorry if this has been posted): Lance's big post-Oprah print interview here in Texas Monthly. Fancies himself Bill Clinton.

    Armstrong Under Criminal Investigation

    Armstrong Under Criminal Investigation

It's not that easy to get banned. The newly banned poster had -- one assumes by the speed of the ban -- been bounced before under different names. Think of a drunk tossed from a bar, crawling back in through the window.

Agree. The Obama and Clinton camps are not friendly. If Team Obama can wreck Hillary's 2016 prez chances and Bill's influence on the Democratic party -- without leaving fingerprints -- they'll do so.

Lance appearing on Oprah next week

Oprah recorded two-and-a-half hours for a 90-minute interview, which is really about 75 minutes minus the ads. She has twice as much material as she needs. She can't change what was recorded yesterday, but she can edit what she has as either pro-Lance or anti-Lance. Oprah is not stupid...

Lance appearing on Oprah next week

The Wall Street Journal nailed it. Here. "The meeting, which was tense, took place at a conference room near the Denver airport. Mr. Tygart told Mr. Armstrong that he had already had his chance to come clean, and that, at best, if he gave full cooperation, the ban would be eight years...

"The disgraced cyclist confessed to using performance-enhancing drugs during the taping." :D Seems LA can't even tape an interview without doping.

Buzz Bissinger column made Real Clear Politics. Here. This is big -- and trouble for Lance. The U.S. political class reads Real Clear Politics.
