    Sunguard-Specialized with Contador/Cancellera

    Dropping everyone in the gruppetto?

TDF Stage 17 - Thursday, July 22 2010, Pau - Col du Tourmalet, 174 km

I am fully aware that he will most likely beat Schleck in the overall. I am a huge fan of Contador myself and as such I am a little surprised that this year he is not putting on quite the same masterclass. I just feel that he looks a little tired and slightly out of form, which is not a dig...

TDF Stage 17 - Thursday, July 22 2010, Pau - Col du Tourmalet, 174 km

I dont think Contador has peaked correctly this year for the Tour. It looks as though he may have over cooked his early season, if you look at Schleck he was terrible all the way up until the tour whereas Contador has been a fixture throughout the season. Maybe a move to Riis next season along...

What impact would Ricco have had?

I'm sure I read that Alberto and Ricco get on very well and as such Ricco named his new born child Alberto in honour of his rival. I see Contador as someone who is well respected by his rivals and a quite likeable guy, regardless of what happened with Schleck and the chain.

Boasson only guy who can beat Cav for the green jersey

I dont think EBH will target green this time around. Thats not to say he couldnt but for me I believe it will be best for him to look to get into breakaways and win from smaller groups. This Tour will be about learning and with Columbia and Cav making green a major target for the season it will...

Anyone care about the tour of Oman?

stevendejongh: "Great team work again today, another 2nd place for Edvald, and took the lead. Boys did great." A lot of talk around from Team Sky that EBH is not anywhere near to his top form but he still seems to be finishing strong in all of the sprints and matching riders like Farrar...

    Opinions on Wiggins

I personally am interested to see what Bradley Wiggins can do this year in the Tour. I wonder what difference it will make for him to have worked exclusively towards the Tour, checking out the stages/major climbs and working towards peaking in the middle to last week etc. I dont think he will...

    Astana, how strong?

I would think that Benjamin Noval and Enrico Gasporroto will be there to drive the peloton on the flat stages and to keep Contador out of trouble. For the mountains they have Vinokourov, De La Fuente, Peirero, Navarro, Hernandez and Tiralongo. That would give them a strong enough team to keep...

    Team milram

The new procycling magazine has a piece on all of the new recruits at columbia and interviews with them all. The Velits brothers mention in there that the Columbia staff are shocked at their awful riding positions etc.

    Tour Down Under

Their website is up but its not displaying any information until 4th January. I read somewhere the other day that Sean Yates will be the DS at the tour down under with Greg Henderson as leader so that is validated by the above article.

    Wiggins to Sky

Brian Smith twittered earlier on that tomorrow was a big day for Team Sky. Is it possible that he would have insider info?

    Wiggins to Sky

    1. I think they are lacking real top draw help for Wiggins in the form of a climber but its not the worst team in the world. 2. I would guess that Lovkvist will be team leader at the Giro or Vuelta. Although if he performs better than Wiggins at the tour then I believe Wiggins would be willing...

    Team Sky...holy crap!!

The riders seemed to be pretty impressed by what is occurring in Manchester this week, a selection of tweets from the various riders involved: John Lee Augustyn: “Awesome life changing stuff happening!!!” Greg Henderston: “ Made it to Manchester. Greeted by sideways cold rain...
