Tour de France Stage 2 Brussels - Spa, 192 km Monday, July 5 2010

Unless they push the pace, 9km should be enough for the autobus to reel in a group including Freire and Bo-Hagen. Still be nice to see one of them attack from a long way out! If it does come down to a sprint and Cav has been towed up the climbs, I can't see anyone else winning. When he...

Vaughters and ASO examine Tour de France selection policy

Great news. This is certainly early days, but sounds like progression. What are your thoughts on a selection criteria? Global reach. Should ASO be sacrificing better teams for those that will encourage a broader audience? How late should the decisions be made? Do we like the...

Everyone has a valid opinion - as long as it has substance of course. I was merely trying to defend the fact that Fabian having a little arrogance is probably justified with his E3, Flanders and P-R wins, no? Let's say some neo-domestique pipes up and ruffles some feathers - has he got much to...

    Chainrings and Gearing

Yeah sorry, 53/39 chainring and 11/23 cassette - I am far from being Chris Hoy - thank god! It's a wonder how he even walks to the velodrome :D I'll give the cassette a go then. Cheers.

Sorry, have you been living in a cave for the last month? His legs seem to be working fine... You can talk the talk if you can walk the walk springs to mind. And boy can Fabian walk. So don't sit there yapping that he hasn't won anything. I really hope Boonen wins something big this year, but...

    Sun 11th April: Paris - Roubaix, 259km

Boonen is playing silly ******s, I think he deserves a big scalp this year but he'll only get away with digs like that in a field void of quality...as it is, Spartacus, the God of Thunder, Pipo and Flecha are all locked and loaded...

Alas, the in-saddle-suffering over the cobbles will have to suffice for 2010 :D

    Sun 11th April: Paris - Roubaix, 259km

Question - this is the first time I have watched P-R (forgive me), and was hoping for some epic, mud-clad faces. Is there a section that's particularly muddy or have they just lucked in on some beautiful weather?

Haha Fabian is a joker. Took a look at his bike thinking "Hmm I think its something near the back- wait, I don't care. Give me a new one"

    Chainrings and Gearing

I've been riding my 53/11 gearing since last summer and have dealt with it pretty good albeit with a pretty slow cadence when things get steep. I am ok on most climbs but it is a lot of out of the saddle stuff. Hearing Magnus Backstedt commentate on Eurosport the other day he was saying he...
