Gee only started training for GC just over a year ago so potential is higher.

Sheehan was quite ill just a couple of weeks ago so he will probably come good end of April and start of May just like last year.

Does Landa have a habitual bad day. He had a terrible day at La Vuelta last year, but I don't recall any days like this in previous grand tours.

Pogacar, Evenepoel and Vingegaard will more likely to ride La Vuelta in future years so Mas' chances will probably fade. Ayuso, Almeida and Rodriguez winning a Giro is a possibility, next year could have an opening. Hopefully Landa and Mas ride as well, could be a big battle of those who would...

Roglic had no GC attempts in grand tours in 2017.

Why is O'Connor in this poll? He was barely in the top 10 strongest in La Vuelta and finished 4th in the weakest Giro depth for some time. Gee, Gall, Riccitello, Del Toro and Landa are all far more likely.

But then really disappointed that O'Connor and Carapaz gained so much time on those two stages.
