Gazzetta.it is still reporting Nibali being faster by 8 seconds, 1872 VAM and 6.6 watt/kg. Might very well be a mistake on their part, I don't know. See here

Froome and Contador dropping out of the TdF obviously hurt the show big time, but in no way belittle Nibali's performances and his possible win in Paris. Not his fault if Froome can't handle his bike and crashed over and over again and Contador lost time on the cobbles and, as reports indicate...

Not sure how reliable it is, but according to gazzetta.it Nibali was actually 8 seconds faster than Froome in the last 5.8 kms on the same climb and now holds the record for the highest VAM ever recorded at the Tour (1872). Any truth to that? Is it even relevant?
