Tour de France Tour de France 2022: Stage 21 (Paris La Défense Arena – Paris Champs-Élysées, 115.6k)

Not really. Sport is thankfully cyclical. Just look at football. Yes, the winner is usually found among the richer teams, but the biggest budget clearly doesn't always guarantee success. And SKY/INEOS certainly never dominated the Classics or one-day races. 12 months ago I couldn't see anyone...

    Could Sky sponsorship end?

Re: Re: Completely agree. If the sport is to survive, Sky's "business model" is probably where the future lies. Despite its global popularity, cycling is not generating sufficient revenues from the sport itself, probably because most racing takes place on week-day afternoons, when TV...

Teams & Riders Chris Froome Discussion Thread.

I think Froome has behaved throughout this saga with great dignity in the face of hate-filled vitriol, wilful fabrication and downright slander. Various bodies of international experts have deemed unanimously that he has no case to answer. That said the entire testing procedures need to be...

Re: That's a fair comment. But as you say, in the absence of any in-depth analysis or insight, he relies on his personality to guide and entertain viewers. I don't know the guy, but, unlike you, l find his public/TV persona border-line insufferable, unfortunately.

Vuelta 2017 stage 9: Orihuela - Cumbres del Sol, 174 km

Re: Re: I watched the last Olympics in Germany on public TV. Events not featuring Germans were, with one or two exceptions, completely ignored. Didn't bother me in the slightest. They are broadcasting solely to domestic audiences, who ultimately pay their wages. Jingoistic? Possibly. But...
